Ca/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase kinase (CaMKK) activates particular multifunctional kinases, including CaMKI, CaMKIV, and 5'AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), resulting in the regulation of various Ca-dependent cellular processes, including neuronal, metabolic, and pathophysiological pathways.
