Blood stream infection (BSI) is of the most devastating infection of any hospital which has a high mortality. Staphylococcus aureus, coagulase-negative staphylococci (CONS) and enterococcus species are commonest isolated bacteria. This was a cross-sectional descriptive study conducted at the Sylhet Women's Medical College Hospital from October 2022 to March 2023.

This was a multicenter cohort study to evaluate the relationship between radiological findings and disability in moderate and severe head injury patients. The study places were the Neurosurgery department of Sylhet M A G Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sylhet Women's Medical College Hospital (SWMCH) and King Faisal Hospital (KFH), Taif, KSA. Sample size was 104 and the study period was 36 months (July 2021 to December 2022).

K^{+}K^{-} pairs may be produced in photonuclear collisions, either from the decays of photoproduced ϕ(1020) mesons or directly as nonresonant K^{+}K^{-} pairs. Measurements of K^{+}K^{-} photoproduction probe the couplings between the ϕ(1020) and charged kaons with photons and nuclear targets. The kaon-proton scattering occurs at energies far above those available elsewhere.

We report a case of 14-year-old girl with bilateral hip pain and loss of mobility. Clinical exome sequencing showed a proband with a heterozygous pathogenic nonsense variant in ASXL1 gene.

LF3872 was isolated from the milk of a healthy lactating and breastfeeding woman. Earlier, the genome of LF3872 was sequenced, and a gene encoding unique bacteriocin was discovered. We have shown here that the LF3872 strain produces a novel thermolabile class III bacteriolysin (BLF3872), exhibiting antimicrobial activity against antibiotic-resistant strains.

We have presented a brief literature overview of the disease, supported by a clinical case of multiple acute posterior circulation strokes with lesions in the pons and both hemispheres of the cerebellum associated with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome in a white young European adult in Ukraine. Specific features of posterior circulation stroke associated with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome were determined, analyzed, and described. Complex posterior circulation cerebral infarction in the pons and both hemispheres of the cerebellum associated with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome has not been reported before but has devastating consequences for both mother and fetus.

In the fall of 2020, a long-lasting and massive harmful algal bloom (HAB) with extensive fields of yellow sea foam was observed in relatively cold waters (7-13 °C) off the coasts of the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. According to the estimates based on bio-optical parameters in satellite imagery, the Kamchatka bloom 2020 lasted for two months and covered a vast area of more than 300 × 100 km. An abundance of dead fish and invertebrates, including sea urchins, sea anemones, chitons, cephalopods, bivalves were found on shore during the bloom.

The aim of the study was to develop amphiphilic poly(-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) nanoparticles (NPs) loaded with DNA plasmids encoding Gn and Gc glycoproteins of the Rift Valley fever virus (RVFV) and to study the humoral response . DNA plasmids were protected from extracellular nucleases by loading in NPs from PVP derivatives modified with amino acids β-alanine (Ala7-PVPOD4000) or glycine (Gly7.5-PVP-OD4000) fabricated by the original self-assembly technique.
