Metastatic melanoma with unusual histopathology can be diagnostically challenging. One exceptionally rare cutaneous manifestation of metastases is blue-nevus-like metastatic melanoma (BNLMM). A 74-year-old male presented with a blue-gray lesion on his left helix in the same anatomical region of a previously resected lentigo maligna.

Knowing socioeconomic factors associated with NCC can help in decreasing the incidence of this disease. We intend to study socioeconomic risk factors in NCC patients and how these factors are different from patients without NCC.

An NHCl-driven high-temperature etching method was employed for the formation of FeSA950NC with coordinately unsaturated single Fe-atoms in an Fe-N(sp)-C structural unit together with N vacancies () and sp defects. The carbonization of Fe-phen@ZIF-8 at 800 °C for 30 min under argon, followed by grinding Fe-ZIF-8@RF-urea with NHCl at 950 °C for 2 hours, resulted in sp carbon defects and sites with coordination unsaturation in Fe-N due to NHCl decomposition to NH and HCl, which produced substantial internal stress for etching the carbon matrix.

Objective: Researchers have long been captivated by the complex molecular interactions between vitamin D and the thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism affects 2% to 4% of women of reproductive age and can impact fertility through anovulatory cycles, luteal phase defects, hyperprolactinemia, and sex hormone imbalances. This study investigated the relationship between thyroid disease and the severity of vitamin D deficiency across different age groups.

About 3-4% of hospitalized TB patients require admission to the intensive care unit (ICU); the mortality in these patients is around 50-60%. There is limited literature on the evaluation and management of patients with TB who required ICU admission.

This cross-sectional survey was aimed to explore the interest, needs and challenges among various stakeholders for PR in Pune city, India. At the outpatient respiratory medicine department of a multi-speciality hospital in Pune, India, 403 eligible people with CRDs were invited to participate in the survey, of which 370 (92%) responded and agreed to participate.

Method: In this prospective observational study, doppler assessment of CBF velocities was performed from the anterior cerebral artery (ACA), middle cerebral artery (MCA) and basilar artery (BA) at 2-8 hours, 24 hours, day 3, 7, 14 and 28 of life. Neonates with gross congenital malformations, those requiring extensive resuscitation at birth, mechanical ventilation with mean airway pressure >12 mbar, requiring inotropes, or those who developed intraventricular hemorrhage (grade II or more) were excluded.
Introduction: Pneumococcal diseases pose a significant public health concern in India, with substantial morbidity and mortality, with the elderly and those with coexisting medical conditions being most at risk. Pneumococcus was also seen to be one of the main reasons for co-infection, pneumonia and complications in COVID. Current guidelines recommend vaccination for specific adult populations, but there is a lack of uniformity and guidance on risk stratification, prioritisation and optimal timing.

Various inotropes and inodilators have been utilized to treat low cardiac output syndrome after the arterial switch operation. The use of levosimendan, a calcium sensitizer has been limited in this setting. This study compares the effects of levosimendan with milrinone in managing low cardiac output after the arterial switch operation.

Consequently, the provision of cost-effective and multidisciplinary post-stroke rehabilitation care to stroke survivors becomes of paramount importance. The utilization of mobile applications (apps) for stroke care has been on the rise, offering a personalized and pragmatic solution with the potential for wider reach in settings constrained by limited resources.

In this study, we compared the performance of the Spirofy™ device with that of the Vitalograph Alpha Touch™ spirometer in measuring the lung capacities of healthy individuals, asthmatics, and COPD patients. We also assessed the inter-device variability between two Spirofy™ devices.
