Unlabelled: The current study was done to assess the central auditory processing in individuals with Takayasu's Syndrome. The Takayasu Syndrome is a rare disease, hence a case series was conducted with consecutive sampling. In this study, five patients diagnosed with Takayasu's syndrome were evaluated on the central auditory processing tests.

Splanchnic venous thrombosis is a well-known vascular complication of AP and commonly present as thrombosis of the splanchnic venous system: splenic vein (SplV), portal vein (PV) and superior mesenteric vein (SMV), either separately or in combinations. Involvement of extra-splanchnic vessels is rare and associated with morbidity and mortality.

It may involve thrombosis of splenic vein (SplV), portal vein (PV) and superior mesenteric vein (SMV), either separately or in combinations, and often detected incidentally, indeed some cases present with upper gastrointestinal bleed, bowel ischemia and hepatic decompensation. Incidence is variable depending on study subjects and diagnostic modalities.
