Article Synopsis
  • - The main focus of asthma management is achieving control, but many patients with moderate to severe asthma still struggle despite taking standard treatments like inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) and long-acting β2 agonists (LABA).
  • - Adding long-acting antimuscarinic agents (LAMA) can enhance asthma control by improving symptoms, lung function, and reducing exacerbations, particularly for those with low-T2 asthma phenotypes.
  • - New combination therapies, like single-inhaler triple therapy (SITT), which include LAMA, ICS, and LABA, are being highlighted for their benefits in asthma management, including better treatment outcomes, potential cost savings, and increased patient adherence.
