The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic has triggered a significant impact on global public health security, it is urgent to develop effective antiviral drugs. Previous studies have found that binding to ACE2 is a key step in the invasion of SARS-CoV-2 into host cells, so virus invasion can be inhibited by blocking ACE2, but there are few reports on this kind of specific inhibitor. Our previous study found that Harringtonine (HT) can inhibit the entry of SARS-CoV-2 spike pseudovirus into ACE2 cells, but its relatively high cytotoxicity limits its further development.

Study Design: We investigated the antidepressants effects of XYS and identified 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid (18β-GA) as the primary compound present in the brain following XYS injection.
Water buffalo Hunnivirus (BufHuV) belongs to the family Picornaviridae and is a newly discovered member of the Hunnivirus A genus. It causes intestinal diseases in cattle, mainly lead to subclinical infections, thereby seriously threatening the health of cattle herds. In addition, it can also bring about various clinical disease syndromes which results in severe economic losses to the cattle industry.

Gut microbiota are associated with the development of depression. To further explore any differences in the mechanisms of depression induced by gut microbiota and traditional stresses, as well as facilitate the development of microbiota-based interventions, a fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) depression model was made.

We performed this retrospective study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of basiliximab treatment in SR-aGVHD patients following matched sibling donor hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (MSD-HSCT) ( = 63). Overall response rate (ORR) was 63.

RNA-binding protein (RBP)-mediated post-transcriptional regulation of mRNA plays important roles in eukaryotic sexual development, including the development of female Plasmodium. However, the role of RBP in defining the Plasmodium male transcriptome and its function in male gametogenesis remains incompletely understood.

However, the impacts of biochar addition on the soil and plant communities in the wetland remains largely unknown. In this study, we conducted a greenhouse experiment using soil seed bank from a coastal saline-alkaline wetland.

Objectives: To this end, we conducted a double-blinded, random, and placebo-controlled clinical trial of orally administered XYP in patients with depression.
We report the measurement of the inclusive cross sections for e^{+}e^{-}→nOCH (where nOCH denotes non-open charm hadrons) with improved precision at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies from 3.

Background: Sodium-dependent glucose transporter (SGLT2) inhibitors (SGLT2i) have been found to have anti-atherosclerotic effects in clinical treatment.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore whether angiotensin II (Ang II) induces changes in the expression of Na+/H+ exchanger of cytoplasmic membrane channel proteins (NHE1) and SGLT2 in macrophages and whether dapagliflozin (DAPA), an SGLT2i, protects against Ang II induced macrophage senescence by inhibiting NHE1 activation to alleviate Atherosclerosis (AS).
Methods: After intervention with DAPA plus gavage or feeding them a high-fat diet, the mice's aortas were dissected, and oil red O staining was performed.

Background And Aims: Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a refractory disease with repeated attacks, and there is no accurate treatment target at present. Dipyridamole, a phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor, has been proven to be an effective treatment for IBD in a pilot study. This study explored the therapeutic target of IBD and the pharmacological mechanism of dipyridamole for the treatment of IBD.

Methods: Patients who underwent sphincter-sparing surgery for ultralow rectal cancer at Guangxi Medical University Cancer Hospital within the period from January 2016 to March 2022 were tracked and observed. The clinical and pathological data of the patients were collected and analyzed.
We aimed to identify the severity and duration of COVID-19 infection on complications after allo-HSCT. Enrolled 179 hospitalized patients with COVID-19 were categorized into long-term infection (> 18 days, n = 90) or short-term infection group (≤ 18 days, n = 89) according to the median duration of COVID-19. The severity of COVID-19 was categorized as asymptomatic infection, mild, moderate, severe, and critical illness according to guidelines of National Institutes of Health.

A total of 294 were enrolled, and 16.0% (n = 47) experienced ES after ASCT.

In this study, the response of the Tibetan Plateau grassland was investigated, with a focus on the fractional vegetation cover (FVC). By employing an enhanced ecohydrological model for the baseline (1985-2014) and future (2031-2070) periods under shared socioeconomic pathway (SSP) scenarios, the responses of FVC to climate change were predicted across all grassland types.

To solve the problems of slow regeneration and mismatch of axon regeneration after peripheral nerve injury, nerve guidance conduits (NGCs) have been widely used to promote nerve regeneration. Multichannel NGCs have been widely studied to mimic the structure of natural nerve bundles. However, multichannel conduits are prone to structural instability.

Adenovirus (ADV) is a significant cause of severe viral pneumonia after allo-HSCT, and we aimed to identify the clinical manifestations, prognostic factors, and outcomes of ADV pneumonia after allo-HSCT.
Methods: Twenty-nine patients who underwent allo-HSCT at the Peking University Institute of Hematology and who experienced ADV pneumonia after allo-HSCT were enrolled in this study.
Introduction: The lack of suitable animal models for sarcopenic obesity (SO) limits in-depth research into the disease. Emerging studies have demonstrated that gut dysbiosis is involved in the development of SO. As the importance of microbial metabolites is starting to unveil, it is necessary to comprehend the specific metabolites associated with gut microbiota and SO.
