Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to compare levels of resistin and copeptin between acute ischemic stroke patients and healthy controls, and to assess their potential as prognostic indicators for stroke severity and outcomes.
  • Researchers analyzed data from 112 stroke patients and 63 matched controls, measuring resistin and copeptin levels and assessing stroke severity using specific scales.
  • Findings showed that resistin levels were higher in stroke patients, while copeptin levels could predict poor functional outcomes, suggesting both markers could enhance stroke diagnosis and management in future studies.
