We evaluated the usefulness of two novel cholesterol-triglyceride subgroup (CTS) indices, CTS and CTS, that potentially reflect the metabolic status regarding risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) using a retrospective longitudinal study of the Japanese general population. We recruited 12,373 individuals from the annual users of our healthcare center. Among them, the first onset of CHD was recorded in 131 individuals between April 2014 and March 2020.

In oscines, syringeal muscles are controlled by the hypoglossal nucleus ipsilaterally, whereas syringeal innervation is bilateral in non-oscines. We have determined the course of hypoglossal nerves in the jungle crow Corvus macrorhynchos.

Therefore, healing in an irradiated field cannot be expected if a flap used for reconstruction fails even partially. For repair of radiation ulcers, a flap with a stable blood supply is required.

We describe a case of giant pulmonary aspergilloma in a 79-year old man. He had undergone an operation for pulmonary tuberculosis of the right lung at the age of 49 years. His chest ragiograph showed a large fungus ball in the right upper lung field.
