Laparoscopic ventral hernia repair with intraperitoneal onlay mesh reinforcement is often performed in clinical practice. We herein describe a patient who developed a Spigelian hernia at the edge of the mesh due to rupture of the muscular layer in the abdominal wall. A 69-year-old woman developed a left-sided abdominal bulge 15 months after laparoscopic ventral hernia repair.

The histological diagnosis was por2>tub2, ypT4b(diaphragm), int, INF c, ly1, v1, ypN3, yp Stage ⅢC. Three months postoperatively, computed tomography showed recurrence in the peritoneum and multiple lymph nodes, and he received chemotherapy(RAM plus PTX).

Materials And Methods: The CLSS modulates dose distribution at each beam energy level by varying scanning speed while keeping the beam intensity constant through a beam-intensity control system and a rapid on/off beam-switching system. In addition, we developed a beam alignment system to improve the precision of the beam position.

We investigated the efficacy of different biliary drainage methods for the treatment of unresectable cholangiocarcinomas. We performed a retrospective study of 28 patients with unresectable cholangiocarcinomas who underwent biliary drainage at our hospital between January 2008 and June 2014 to compare the incidence of post-drainage stent dysfunction (SD) and reintervention (RI) for SD according to primary drainage method, lesion site, and complication status (the presence or absence of cholangitis). The duration of stent patency was compared between the different stent types.

The aim of this experimental study was to establish a quantitative method for assessing the preventive effect of mouthguards. 10 participants volunteered for this study.

Participants in Group 1 used custom-made mouthguards fabricated according to a standardized method, whereas participants in Group 2 used custom-made or over-the-counter mouthguards of their choice.

Twenty-one patients with old myocardial infarction underwent repeated 99mTc-tetrofosmin exercise/rest same day protocols with and without the administration of sublingual nitroglycerin (0.3 mg) 5 min before the second injection of 99mTc-tetrofosmin for rest SPECT imaging.

However, multinucleated giant cells sometimes appear in the fulminant phase of severe myocarditis. This is the first case of a patient with a 1 year previous history of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, who presented with acute necrotizing eosinophilic myocarditis with giant cell infiltration.

SPECT was divided into 20 segments and each segment was scored as one of 4 grades (0 = normal; 1 = mildly decreased; 2 = severely decreased; and 3 = defect) according to the RI uptake. Gd enhancement in MR was interpreted visually.

Methods And Results: Eleven control subjects and 20 patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) (serum creatinine level > 8 mg/dl) were evaluated by MIBG myocardial scintigraphy and power spectral analysis (PSA) of the R-R fluctuations of the electrocardiogram. Subjects with CRF were divided into two groups: without (CRF1; nine patients) or with (CRF2; 11 patients) autonomic neuropathy.
To assess the clinical utility of 123I-metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) scintigraphy in evaluating cardiac sympathetic nerve disturbance in diabetic patients, we performed MIBG scintigraphy in 18 diabetic patients and 11 normal controls. Diabetic patients with symptomatic neuropathy (DM2) had a significantly lower heart to mediastinum uptake ratio than did those without neuropathy or normal controls in initial and delayed images (initial image, 1.90 +/- 0.

But less clinical application has been reported because of its invasive nature, and we evaluated this relationship non-invasively using gated radionuclide angiocardiography as volume determination and cuff sphyngomanometer in the arm as pressure measurement. Gated equilibrium blood pool scintigrams were obtained at rest and during intravenous infusion of angiotensin or nitrate.
