Although NOACs have a favourable benefit-risk profile and can be used without routine laboratory monitoring, they are associated-as any anticoagulant-with a risk of bleeding. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of hypeprolactinemia on the parameters of the hemostatic system and activation of the coagulation system.
Methods: We studied PRL levels, body mass index (BMI), values of activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT), D-dimer level, von Willebrand factor antigen (vWFAg) and fibrinogen in 15 young female patients with microprolactinomas before and after therapy and in 15 healthy female controls.
Introduction: Coagulation abnormalities which occur as a consequence of endothelial changes are recognized as diagnostic criteria for sepsis, but significance of these changes in the outcome prognosis and prediction of the course of sepsis is still not accurately defined.

Material And Methods: The study included 504 patients that were administered the primary (n=345) or secondary thromboprophylaxis after ischemic stroke (n=159), by applying vitamin K antagonists, or the combination of vitamin K antagonists and low-dose aspirin.
Introduction: In liver diseases, all components of the haemostatic system are changed and the degree of dysfunction is proportional to hepatocellular damage. During the liver transplantation, values of haemostatic parameters show substantial changes, while postoperatively there is a gradual normalisation of the haemostatic system function.
Objective: The aim was to monitor the changes of the haemostatic system intraoperatively and postoperatively, including the dynamics at which physiological values of parameters are reached after transplantation.
