- * Participants were divided into two groups, with group A receiving ESWT and group B receiving US plus deep friction massage, and data was collected at baseline, week 3, and week 7 using pain rating scales.

Soft-tissue calcification is characterised by the deposit of calcium in the damaged collagen fibres. The pathology of the phenomenon is not fully known. Trauma, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury have been reported as possible risk factors.
