Tuberculosis (TB) infection causes mortality among People Living with HIV (PLHIV), so the treatment of TB-HIV coinfection is crucial. The study aimed to identify the determinants contributing to TB coinfection among PLHIV in Papua. It is a descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional design involving 188 PLHIV at the four hospitals in Papua.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among PLHIV on antiretroviral therapy (ART) at the voluntary counselling and testing (VCT) clinics in Manokwari, Sorong City, and Fakfak district.

Background: Papua has a high cumulative number of HIV, which has expanded epidemic status with the most risk factors are heterosexuals.
Aim: This study aims to determine factors associated with HIV disease progression include host and viral factors.
Methods: Eighty-four subjects recruited in Rumah Sakit Mitra Masyarakat (RSMM) VCT's laboratory, interviewed with questionnaires and also did laboratory examinations.
