  • TNF-α inhibitors, like adalimumab, have become essential for treating psoriatic arthritis, but they can have unwanted side effects in some patients.

Adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD) is defined as a systemic inflammatory disorder of unknown aetiology and is classified as a multigene autoinflammatory disease. Treatment of AOSD still remains mostly empirical with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, glucocorticoids and conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs or cyclosporin A. Inhibitors of tumour necrosis factor-alpha and interleukin-1 (IL-1) antagonists have shown efficacy in certain subsets of patients with AOSD.
