The temporomandibular joint is a type of synovial joint with unique structure and function. Between the mandibular condyle and the mandibular fossa there is a dense fibrocartilaginous oval articular disc, temporomandibular joint disc. This disc serves as a nonossified bone, thus permitting the complex movements of the joint, and plays a major role in jaw function by providing stress distribution and lubrication in the temporomandibular joint.

The Aim Of The Study: Relying on neurophysiological data, the authors are trying to reveal the main role of reticular mesencephalical formation in mechanisms which provoke craniomandibular dysfunctions and confront the influence of emotional factors from neocortex and painful stimuli from oral structures.
Discussion: From dynamical point of view, not only the morphological aspects of teeth and arcades, but also sensitive-sensorial mechanisms connected to masticatory muscles, periodontal structures and oral structures, should be considered.
Background: Application of various technological procedures for the manufacture of officinal preparation ointment against chilblains (Unguentum contra perniones) produce essential variations in the quality and stability of the final product. Changing the sequence of admixing active substances into the ointment base indicated the presence of incompatibility between the active substances, as well as between the active substances and the ointment base components. The aim was to examine the influence of various technological manufacturing procedures on quality and stability of the preparation.
