Urinary tract infections are one of the most common types of bacterial infections in childhood. Normally, empiric antibiotic therapy is given based on local antimicrobial susceptibility. We performed a retrospective study to evaluate bacterial resistance and clinical responses to antibiotics in childhood febrile urinary tract infections (fUTIs) in the Bratislava region of Slovakia.
