Objective: To know the opinions of the health professionals who work at the Ourense Continuous Care Point (PAC) regarding work aggressions.
Design: Qualitative study with phenomenological approach carried out between January and May 2019.
Setting: PAC.
Objective: To analyse the level of knowledge and attitudes concerning living wills of nurses working in 3 hospitals of Servizo Galego de Saúde (Spain).
Method: Descriptive, cross-sectional, multi-centre study. Stratified sampling was carried out with nurses from the University Hospital Complexes of Ourense, Ferrol and Vigo.
Objective: To discover through the patients themselves the process of coexisting with Parkinson's disease.
Method: Qualitative study of phenomenological approach. The sample consisted of 6 participants.

Objective: To learn the opinion of a group of young patients about health personnel with tattoos.
Method: Descriptive study conducted in the first semester of 2017 on patients admitted to the Obstetrics Unit of the Hospital Complex of Ourense. The data collection was carried out by means of a self-administered questionnaire prepared "in-house" where several photographs of health professionals with and without tattoos were shown.
Background: Schizophrenia patients present deficits in social cognition (SC), emotion and social perception, theory of mind (ToM), and attributional style. This study tested the efficacy, in real clinical conditions, of a online self-training program in SC, e-Motional Training, in comparison with treatment as usual.
Method: A randomized single-blinded multicenter clinical trial was conducted with 60 schizophrenia stable outpatients.
Objective: To determine stress levels and to identify if there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and work stress in nurses and healthcare assistants of the Emergency Department.
Method: Observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The population were nurses and healthcare assistants of the Emergency Department of the University Hospital of Ourense.
Scientific research can contribute to more efficient health care, enhance care quality and safety of persons. In order for this to happen, the knowledge gained must be put into practice. Implementation is known as the introduction of a change or innovation to daily practice, which requires effective communication and the elimination of barriers that hinder this process.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: The objective is to evaluate the opinions of a paediatric population of Pontedeume Health Centre, A Coruña, Spain regarding the clothing of nurses.
Method: A descriptive analytical cross-sectional study with of paediatric patients in Pontedeume Health Centre between the months of March and April 2010. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 14 questions completed during a 15-minute semi-structured interview, and included a presentation with different pictures.
Objective: To investigate how patients with DM Type 1 attending a nursing education clinic cope with the disease and to analyse the relationships between the style of coping (CS) and control-self-management of the disease.
Method: A cross sectional study was performed on all patients attending a diabetes education consultation at the Hospital of Ourense. The sociodemographic and clinical variables, as well as those related to the management of DM were collected.
