Objective: To determine what effect maternal antenatal depression has on pregnancy and infant outcomes in the Lleida health region.
Methods: Retrospective observational cohort study in pregnant women between 2012 and 2018 in the Lleida health region. Variables included age, body mass index, caesarean section, pre-eclampsia, birth weight, and Apgar score.
Portal vein aneurysms are rare pathologic entities. A 3.7-cm portal vein aneurysm was incidentally discovered in an 80-year-old male patient on imaging for acute abdominal pain secondary to an incarcerated diaphragmatic hernia.

Thereby endothelial dysfunction takes place and underlies metabolic and vascular alterations that contribute to the development of both cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. It has been also proposed that endothelial dysfunction may antecede the development of insulin resistance and diabetes.

Evolutionarily conserved from eubacteria to eukaryotes and a crucial component of the RNA processing exosome, Dis3 has been shown to be essential in yeast and fly S2 cells. However, it is not known whether Dis3 has essential functions in a metazoan.

In this context, domino protocols have become increasingly common in the synthesis of bicyclic systems. This tutorial review aims at providing a short but authoritative overview of this topic, focusing on the preparation of bridged bicyclo[n.

We previously demonstrated that co-culture of C57BL/6 kidney-derived MSCs (KSCs) in syngeneic bone marrow-derived dendritic cell (DC) culture induced a DC phenotype (KSC-DC) with reduced major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II/increased CD80 expression and ability to suppress T-cell responses.
Methods: To study their effects on allogeneic DCs, C57BL/6 KSCs were added to incipient BALB/c DC culture, with surface expression of MHC class II/CD80 measured by fluorescence-activated cell sorting.
Background: Menopause is the descent in circulating estrogens that manifests clinically for the climacteric symptoms. These symptoms motivate the patient to consult to the physician.
Objective: To know which are the symptoms that motivate women in the climacteric to begin hormonal therapy.
An efficient synthesis of the N-methylwelwistatin tetracyclic core in only two steps from Kornfeld's ketone is described, whose key transformation involves the generation of a fused bicyclo[4.3.1]decane ring system through a one-pot sequence comprising a Michael-intramolecular aldolization anionic domino process and a DBU-promoted hydrolysis of the N-pivaloyl protecting group.

Objective: To evaluate changes in symptoms of women with menopause and hypothyroidism after receiving hypothyroidism therapy and later hormonal therapy.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes in the percentage of glycosylation of FSH and LH when using conjugated estrogens and tibolone as hormonal therapy (HT) in postmenopausal compared with regular menstrual cycles.
Design: The study had three groups, with 10 participants in each group. The control group consisted of 10 women with normal menstrual cycles, a second group with 10 postmenopausal patients who received conjugated estrogens (Premarin 0.
Background: Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) has been used for the diagnosis and follow up of prostate cancer (PCa).
Methods: Mouse monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) were generated against human prostate-specific antigen (PSA) for the development of a sensitive total PSA (t-PSA) assay. Two MAbs, denoted CB-PSA.
