Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) account for a small number of colorectal neoplasms. Endoscopic detection is essential for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. Little is known about incidence of NENs in colonoscopy populations or the relationship between clinical, endoscopic and histopathologic features.

We aim to identify and retrieve these chronic HCV-infected individuals to re-evaluate them and offer treatment.
Methods: Possible chronic HCV infections were identified from test results of the medical microbiological laboratory, notifications to the public health service, and the hospital registries over the past 15 years were checked in South Limburg, the Netherlands.
Objectives: Many studies around the world addressed the post-colonoscopy complications, but their pooled prevalence and time trends are unknown. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of population-based studies to examine the pooled prevalence of post-colonoscopy complications ("perforation", "bleeding", and "mortality"), stratified by colonoscopy indication. Temporal variability in the complication rate was assessed.

Objective: To examine the rate and likely etiology of mCRCs.
Design: Population-based, multicenter study.
Objective: The quality of colonoscopy is key for ensuring protection against colorectal cancer (CRC). We therefore aimed to elucidate the aetiology of postcolonoscopy CRCs (PCCRCs), and especially to identify preventable factors.
Methods: We conducted a population-based study of all patients diagnosed with CRC in South-Limburg from 2001 to 2010 using colonoscopy and histopathology records and data from the Netherlands Cancer Registry.
The development of this guideline was initiated and coordinated by the Netherlands Association of Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists (Nederlandse Vereniging van Maag-Darm-Leverartsen). The aim is the establishment of national standards in the evaluation and antiviral treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. This includes recommendations on the initial evaluation of patients, choice and duration of antiviral therapy, follow-up after antiviral therapy and monitoring of patients not currently requiring antiviral therapy.

Eighteen pigs received an orthotopic or a heterotopic, auxiliary liver graft. Liver biopsies were taken for electron microscopic studies 5-10 min after reperfusion in nine animals.
