Background: Intestinal epithelial cells are important for defending against pathogen infection. LPS is an endotoxin that is highly antigenic and cytotoxic produced by bacteria. LPS disrupts the intestine epithelium integrity and induced the intestinal epithelial cell inflammation and apoptosis.
