In this study, we report the design and synthesis of a series of non-porous amorphous polyethyleneimine-based adsorbents, specifically PEI-PD, PEI-TC, and PEI-CC, for selective adsorption of anionic dyes from aqueous solutions. Utilizing pyromellitic dianhydride (PD), terephthaloyl chloride (TC), and cyanuric chloride (CC) as cross-linking agents, we produced adsorbents with distinct morphological and adsorption characteristics. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed that PEI-PD and PEI-TC exhibit rough, folded surfaces, with total pore volumes of 0.

Background And Purpose: Atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) is a newly identified as marker of lipid metabolism and glucose metabolism, showing significant predictive value in individuals with cardiovascular disease. This study aimed to explore the correlation between AIP and early neurological deterioration (END) in ischemic stroke patients after mechanical thrombectomy (MT).

Methods: Patients with anterior circulation large artery occlusive stroke who underwent MT were retrospectively enrolled from 2 stroke center in China.

Purpose: Many patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) cannot undergo thrombolysis or thrombectomy because they have missed the time window or do not meet the treatment criteria. In addition, there is a lack of an available tool to predict the prognosis of patients with standardized treatment. This study aimed to develop a dynamic nomogram to predict the 3-month poor outcomes in patients with AIS.

Objective: Accumulating evidence has suggested that thyroid hormone levels affect the prognosis of acute ischemic stroke (AIS), but the results have been inconsistent.

Methods: Basic data, neural scale scores, thyroid hormone levels, and other laboratory examination data of AIS patients were collected. The patients were divided into excellent and poor prognosis group at discharge and 90 days after discharge.

Objective: To explore the MRI T2 fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) vascular hyperintensities (FVH) combined with diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) in predicting the prognosis of acute cerebral infarction (ACI) with endovascular treatment.

Methods: The patients with ACI in the anterior circulation who underwent endovascular treatment from June 2016 to December 2020 were divided into a good prognosis group and a poor prognosis group according to the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score at 90 days after the operation. The differences in general clinical baseline data, CT-ASPECTS, FVH, and DWI-ASPECTS between the two groups were analyzed.

Objective: To investigate the effect of fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc.) levels on thrombolytic therapy in patients with acute cerebral infarction and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Methods: A total of 135 patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected for this study.

Green tea is one of the most beverages with antioxidants and nutrients. As one of the major components of green tea, (-)-epicatechin gallate (ECG) was evaluated for its antioxidative properties in the present study. Cell proliferation assay, tube formation, cell migration, apoptosis, and autophagy were performed in human brain microvascular endothelial cells (HBMVECs) after oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R) to investigate potential anti-ischemia/reperfusion injury properties of ECG in vitro.
