Investigation of the mechanism of baicalein in the treatment of periodontitis based on network pharmacology, molecular docking and experimental validation.

Purpose: To verify the effect and mechanism of baicalein in the treatment of periodontitis through network pharmacology, molecular docking and in vitro experiments.

Methods: Firstly, multiple databases were used to predict targets of baicalein and periodontitis. And the screened key target genes of baicalein for treating periodontitis were subjected to GO and KEGG analysis; then these targets were analyzed by molecular docking techniques.

Role of macrophage polarization in periodontitis promoting atherosclerosis.

Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory destructive disease occurring in periodontal supporting tissues. Atherosclerosis(AS) is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases. Periodontitis can promote the development and progression of AS.

A novel T-cell proliferation-associated gene predicts prognosis and reveals immune infiltration in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Objective: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a highly malignant tumour, and the prediction of its prognosis remains challenging. The prognostic value of T-lymphocyte proliferation regulators in OSCC remains to be explored.

Design: We integrated mRNA expression profiles and relevant clinical information of OSCC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas database.
