Since silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and polystyrene microplastics (PS-MP) share common environmental niches, their interactions can modulate their hazard impacts. Herein, we assessed the developmental toxicity of 1 mg/L PS-MP, 0.5 mg/L AgNPs and the mixtures of AgNPs and PS-MP on embryo-larval zebrafish.

Methods: Data of this retrospective cohort study were obtained from the National Vital Statistics System (NVSS) 2020. The participants were divided into different groups according to different IPI (<6, 6-11, 12-17, 18-23, 24-59 (reference), 60-119, ≥120 months).
Objective: To predict COVID-19 severity by building a prediction model based on the clinical manifestations and radiomic features of the thymus in COVID-19 patients.
Method: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical and radiological data from 217 confirmed cases of COVID-19 admitted to Xiangyang NO.1 People's Hospital and Jiangsu Hospital of Chinese Medicine from December 2019 to April 2022 (including 118 mild cases and 99 severe cases).
Purpose: Based on computerized tomography (CT) radiomics and clinical data, a model was established to predict the prognosis of patients with gastrointestinal pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GP-NENs).
Methods: In the data collection, the clinical imaging and survival follow-up data of 225 GP-NENs patients admitted to Xiangyang No.1 People's Hospital and Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine from August 2015 to February 2021 were collected.
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a health risk for pregnant women and infants. Emerging evidence suggests that the deregulation of circular RNAs (circRNAs) is associated with the progression of this disorder. The objective of this study was to investigate the role of circ_FOXP1 in GDM.

This was an observational, prospective study of recruited pregnancies at term. The data were extracted from the medical records in hospital.

Objectives: Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E) is activated in cancers in response to stress. This is regulated by MAP kinase interacting serine/threonine kinase (MNK) in cancerous but not normal cells. Chemoresistance causes treatment failure in advanced cervical cancer.

To understand the mechanisms of the response to drought stress in Elymus species, we first investigated physiological and biochemical responses to polyethylene glycol (PEG-6000) simulated drought stress in two Elymus species, Elymus nutans and Elymus sibiricus, and found that E. nutans was more tolerant to drought stress than E.

However, the effects of introduced boron atoms into the energetic system are unclear. In this work, using the known insensitive energy crystal 2,6-diamino-3,5-dinitropyrazine-l-oxide (LLM-105) as the model compound, boron doping effects on its crystal structure, band gap and structure, intermolecular contacts, sensitivity, elastic property, optical absorption behavior, and dielectric function were studied by the first principles calculations and Hirshfeld surface analysis.

Overexpressed plasmid of STAT3 was constructed and used to transfect SiHa into cervical carcinoma cells. STAT3-targeted specific siRNA was designed and produced.

The expression of FAK and ADM was investigated in epithelial ovarian cancer, benign ovarian tumors and normal control tissues by immunohistochemical staining and optical microscopy. The FAK and ADM expression and correlation with clinicopathological parameters was analyzed using SPSS 13.

However, the mechanisms underlying the anticancer effects of PAB have remained to be elucidated. In the present study, the effects of PAB on the viability and apoptosis of HeLa cells were investigated by MTT assay, flow cytometric analysis of Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate/propidium iodide staining, Rhodamine 123 staining and western blot analysis.
