Apricot trees, serving as critical agricultural resources, hold a significant role within the agricultural domain. Conventional methods for detecting pests and diseases in these trees are notably labor-intensive. Many conditions affecting apricot trees manifest distinct visual symptoms that are ideally suited for precise identification and classification via deep learning techniques.

Brønsted acid-promoted ring-opening and annulation of thioamides and 2-azirines to synthesize 2,4,5-trisubstituted thiazoles.

In this study, a metal-free synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted thiazoles using 2-azirines and thioamides is disclosed. Under the catalysis of HClO, the protocol was realized through a novel chemical bond breaking of 2-azirine, which is usually achieved using a metal catalyst. It provides an efficient and green route for the synthesis of substituted thiazoles with a broad substrate scope.
