Introduction: Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolium are traditional Chinese herb medicines and similar in morphology and some chemical components but differ in drug properties, so they cannot be mixed. However, the processed products of them are often sold in the form of slices, powder, and capsules, which are difficult to identify by traditional morphological methods. Furthermore, an accurate evaluation of P.

Blue light with a wavelength of 400-470 nm is the composition of the visible light. However, in recent years, blue light contributed the most significance to light pollution due to the artificial light at night. Previously, we have demonstrated that the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP), Diaphorina citri, an important pest in citrus production, has significant positive phototaxis with a light-emitting diode light of 400 nm.

To investigate the variation of soil water holding capacity under different land use types can provide scientific basis for evaluating the change characteristics and regulation mechanism of water conservation capacity in alpine ecosystems. We collected soil samples at different depth intervals (0-10, 10-20 and 20-30 cm) under three land use types (farmland, forest, and grassland) in Tibet alpine region to measure the maximum water holding capacity, capillary water holding capacity, field capacity, and basic soil physicochemical properties. The associated environmental factors (mean annual precipitation, normalized difference vegetation index, altitude, slope gradient and surface roughness) were extracted to analyze the change characteristics and influencing factors of soil water holding capacity under different land use types.

Objective: To compare the functional and alignment outcomes of intramedullary nail fixation using suprapatellar and infrapatellar approaches in treating distal tibial fractures.

Methods: In this retrospective study, 132 patients with distal tibial fractures (87 men, 45 women) ranging in age from 20 to 66 years were treated with intramedullary nails using the suprapatellar (69 patients) or infrapatellar (63 patients) approach. The radiographic alignment outcomes and ankle function were compared between the two groups.

Cinnamic acid (AC) and cinnamic aldehyde (AL) are two chemicals enriched in cinnamon and have been previously proved to improve glucolipid metabolism, thus ameliorating metabolic disorders. In this study, we employed transcriptomes and proteomes on AC and AL treated db/db mice in order to explore the underlying mechanisms for their effects. Db/db mice were divided into three groups: the control group, AC group and AL group.

Clarifying carbon and nitrogen emissions of different peanut rotation planting system can provide an effective reference to achieve high yield, high efficiency, and low carbon and nitrogen emissions. Based on field surveys on agricultural inputs and field managements, we calculated the carbon footprint and nitrogen footprint of three planting modes (rape-peanut rotation, wheat-peanut rotation and peanut monoculture) in Huanggang, Hubei Province. The results showed that compared with wheat-peanut rotation, carbon emission per unit area of rape-peanut rotation decreased by 7.

Article Synopsis
  • A new method was developed to detect 107 pesticide residues in wolfberries, showing strong validation through tests on precision, stability, and accuracy.
  • The method achieved low limits of detection (0.14-1.91 µg/kg) and consistently good recovery rates of pesticide analytes across different concentrations.
  • Analysis of 50 wolfberry samples from various sources revealed that all samples contained pesticides, with 26 different residues found, prominently featuring insecticides like acetamiprid and imidacloprid.

The reactions of chiral ligand ()/()-1,1'-binaphthyl-2,2'-diyl phosphate (-HL/-HL) and ErCl·6HO afford two pairs of di- and tetranuclear enantiomers [Er(/-L)(EtOH)]Cl·6.5EtOH (-, -) and [Er(PO)(/-L)(EtOH)(HO)]Cl(OH)·15EtOH·11HO (-, -). The nuclearity of these complexes is controllable and depends on the reaction temperature with a template effect.

Transfusion-associated graft-versus-host disease (TA-GVHD) is known as one of common complications of blood transfusion. The blood irradiation is generally accepted as a proven method to prevent from this disease, for the reason that it makes lymphocytes inactivated in blood products. The blood irradiation indicator provides a guarantee of proper radiation dose, thus improving the transfusion safety.
