BiTe-based alloys are representatively commercialized thermoelectric materials for refrigeration and power generation. Refrigeration mainly utilizes thermoelectric properties near room temperature, while the power generation temperature is relatively high. However, it is difficult for bismuth telluride to maintain good thermoelectric properties throughout the entire temperature range of 300-500 K.

Methods: A total of 30 patients with RRMS and 26 age- and sex-matched healthy controls were recruited in this study. The qMRI images were obtained from these individuals.
Lacrimal adenoid cystic carcinoma (LACC) is one of the most common malignant epithelial tumors of the lacrimal gland, characterized by high rates of local recurrence, distant metastases, and tumor-related mortality. This malignancy impairs the lacrimal gland's ability to secret tears, thereby disrupting the normal function of the ocular surface. Due to ineffective diagnostic approaches and the complex anatomical location of the lacrimal gland within the orbit, many LACC patients are often diagnosed at the later stages.

Yet the relationship between mite sensitized components and respiratory allergies and asthma control remains poorly understood.
Methods: A cohort of 96 children, either with allergic rhinitis (AR) or rhinitis with asthma syndrome (ARAS), was assessed.

Immunoglobulin G4-related ophthalmic disease (IgG4-ROD) is an emerging, immune-mediated fibroinflammatory orbital disease, characterized by tumefactive lesions with noticeable IgG4+ plasma cell infiltration and distinctive pathohistological features. This disease is often associated with elevated serum IgG4 concentrations. IgG4-ROD may affect any ophthalmic tissues, particularly the lacrimal gland, extraocular muscles, and trigeminal nerves.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIgG4-Related Ophthalmic Disease (IgG4-ROD) is a chronic autoimmune-mediated fibrotic disease that predominantly affects the lacrimal glands, often leading to loss of function in the involved tissues or organs. Recent studies have demonstrated that MMP-12 is highly expressed in IgG4-ROD and plays a significant role in regulating immune responses. In this study, we reviewed nine patients diagnosed with IgG4-ROD based on clinical manifestations and histological analysis, and we investigated the expression of IL-33/ST2 and MMP-12 in IgG4-ROD lacrimal gland tissues using IHC.

The dense fine speckled (DFS) ANA staining predominantly associates with anti-DFS70, an autoantibody that is thought to exclude the presence of SAD. However, the DFS pattern may mask the presence of other ANA patterns that may be clinically relevant.

Bladder cancer is a prevalent malignancy with significant clinical implications. Small Ubiquitin-like Modifier (SUMO) pathway related genes (SPRG) have been implicated in the development and progression of cancer. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of SPRG in bladder cancer.

Despite being a mitochondrial enzyme, the precise role of Acetyl-CoA Acetyltransferase 1 (ACAT1) in RCC remains elusive. In this investigation, we employed bioinformatics methodologies to assess the expression patterns and prognostic significance across various RCC subtypes, encompassing clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), papillary cell carcinoma, and chromophobe cell carcinoma.

However, the relationship between sarcopenia, the cardiac metabolic index (CMI), a novel measure of visceral obesity, and cardiometabolic multimorbidity (CMM) remains unclear. In this study, data from the China Longitudinal Study of Health and Retirement (CHARLS) were analyzed to investigate the association between sarcopenia and CMI with CMM in the middle-aged and older adult population.

This study aimed to explore the epidemiological trends and clinical characteristics of Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) infection among inpatient children with lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, and investigate the long-term effects of China's NPIs against COVID-19 on the epidemiology of MP among inpatient children with LRTI.
Methods: Children hospitalised for LRTI at the Department of Pulmonology, The Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (Hangzhou, China) between January 2019 and December 2022 were tested for common respiratory pathogens, including Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP), Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and other bacteria.
In alignment with the increasing demand for larger storage capacity and longer data retention, the electrical control of magnetic anisotropy has been a research focus in the realm of spintronics. Typically, magnetic anisotropy is determined by grain dimensionality, which is set during the fabrication of magnetic thin films. Despite the intrinsic correlation between magnetic anisotropy and grain dimensionality, there is a lack of experimental evidence for electrically controlling grain dimensionality, thereby impairing the efficiency of magnetic anisotropy modulation.

However, the upscaling of the electrosynthesis of oxygenates encounters kinetic bottlenecks arising from the competing hydrogen evolution reaction with the selective production of ethylene. Herein, a catalytic relay system that can perform in tandem CO capture, activation, intermediate transfer and enrichment on a Cu-Ag composite catalyst is used for attaining high yield CO-to-oxygenates electrosynthesis at high current densities.

Recently, zero-shot (or training-free) Neural Architecture Search (NAS) approaches have been proposed to liberate NAS from the expensive training process. The key idea behind zero-shot NAS approaches is to design proxies that can predict the accuracy of some given networks without training the network parameters. The proxies proposed so far are usually inspired by recent progress in theoretical understanding of deep learning and have shown great potential on several datasets and NAS benchmarks.
