The influence of the venous anaesthetic hypnomidate (Yansen, Belgium), used as an induction anaesthetic, was studied on some parameters of respiration, hemodynamics, acid-base balance. The authors are of the opinion that the preparation is suitable for induction in anaesthesia especially in patients with high risk.

The influence of the spinal anaesthesia was investigated on the hemodynamics of the mother and the clinical state of the newborn (according to Apgar). The spinal anaesthesia occupies substantial place among the methods, used for anesthetization in cesarean section.

Anaesthesia with dormicum-anexat were carried out on 38 women with abdominal gynecological operations. Furthermore a group of 32 women with induced interruption of pregnancy was studied as well. Time of sleeping and clinical parameters respiration, arterial blood pressure, changes in acid-base balance before and after induction in anaesthesia were examined.
