Background: Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is an inflammatory disease characterized by persistent immune dysregulation, which presents considerable limitations in current medical therapy.

Objects: This study investigates a supramolecular gel (PSPD), which aims to minimize systemic adverse effects through local injection, provide long-lasting anti-inflammatory effects, and modulate the mucosal immune microenvironment.

Methods: The properties of PSPD were evaluated using rheological experiments.

Article Synopsis
  • * Researchers identified CD276 as a marker and MTHFD2 as a therapeutic target for overcoming drug resistance in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), showing that blocking MTHFD2 can help remodel folate-nucleotide metabolism to counteract this resistance.
  • * An innovative biomimetic nanovesicle (EMφ-siMTHFD2-MnO@Suni) was developed, which demonstrated the ability to remodel metabolic pathways in tumor cells, reduce recurrence and metastasis, and enhance treatment effectiveness

Chemotherapy-induced cellular senescence leads to an increased proportion of cancer stem cells (CSCs) in breast cancer (BC), contributing to recurrence and metastasis, while effective means to clear them are currently lacking. Herein, we aim to develop new approaches for selectively killing senescent-escape CSCs. High CD276 (95.

Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are a heterogeneous series of tumors that might result in severe disability and death. Tumor-associated M1-like macrophage infiltration plays a critical role in tumor development and progression. This study aimed at identifying the hub genes associated with M1-like macrophage infiltration in STS cells.

Purpose: To assess the clinical evidence defining the optimal combination of arthroscopic suture technique and platelet-rich products (PRP), and application for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR).

Methods: All level of evidence (LOE) I randomized controlled trials (RCT) focusing on arthroscopic suture technique and/or PRP application in ARCR were included. The exclusion criteria were LOE II or worse, studies with other interventions, studies reported none of the predetermined clinical outcomes; studies unable to extract any precise data; studies from the same patient group of included studies.

The treatment of osteosarcoma has reached a bottleneck period in recent 30 years, there is an urgent need to find new drugs and treatment methods. Nigericin, an antibiotic derived from Streptomyces hygroscopicus, has exerted promising antitumoral effect in various tumors. The anticancer effect of Nigericin in human osteosarcoma has never been reported.

Background: Osteosarcoma is the third most common cancer in adolescence and the first common primary malignant tumor of bone. The long-term prognosis of osteosarcoma still remains unsatisfactory in the past decades. Therefore, development of novel therapeutic agents which are effective to osteosarcoma and are safe to normal tissue simultaneously is quite essential and urgent.

Traditional bone wax has lots of shortcomings such as the risk of infection and inflammation and the ability to hinder osteogenesis that limit its clinical applications. In this study, we designed a novel biodegradable bone wax with desirable angiogenic and antibacterial ability and low foreign body reaction by mixing calcium sulfate, poloxamer, and cupric ions. To evaluate its biocompatibility and angiogenetic effect , we cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) with the indicated bone wax to observe cell viability and vessel-like tubular formation.

Identifying the mechanisms underlying cognitive development in early life is a critical objective. The expression of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2 (IGFBP2) in the hippocampus increases during neonatal development and is associated with learning and memory, but a causal connection has not been established. Here, it is reported that neurons and astrocytes expressing IGFBP2 are distributed throughout the hippocampus.
