This review assesses the impact of anti-diabetic medications on implant outcomes, offering insights to bridge the gap between animal studies and clinical practice.

The disease is caused by mutations in the gene, which encodes the pyrin protein.

[Type 2 diabetes mellitus and coronary artery disease: features of perfusion volume computed tomography of the heart in a pharmacological test with adenosine triphosphate].

Aim: To study myocardial perfusion in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) using volumetric computed tomography (VCT) of the heart with a pharmacological test with adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

Materials And Methods: The study included 93 patients, of which 18 had CAD with DM, and 50 had CAD without DM. All patients underwent one of the stress tests, cardiac VCT with ATP test, invasive coronary angiography, or CT coronary angiography.

Methodology: Our study included 142 patients (with SARS-CoV-2 PCR-positive nasopharyngeal samples) with varying disease severity and admitted on different days of the disease.

The main inclusion criteria was positive RT- PCR result on nasopharyngeal swab samples at least one month before antibody testing and absence of any induced or inherited immunodeficiency.

Methods: 214 patients with ejection fraction < 30% and >1 hospitalization during the last year underwent clinical evaluation and echocardiography at discharge and were divided into intensive (IMG; N = 143) or standard monitoring group (SMG; N = 71).

May Measurement Month (MMM) is a global initiative aimed to raise awareness of high BP and to act as a temporary solution to the lack of screening programmes worldwide. An opportunistic cross-sectional survey of volunteers aged ≥18 years was carried out in May to July 2019.

Current role of uniportal video-assisted thoracic surgery for lung cancer treatment.

Unlabelled: The use of video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) as an approach for early-stage lung cancer treatment has revealed benefits compared to open surgery by minimizing trauma to the patients. This trend has brought the evolution of VATS to less and less invasive methods, eventually leading to the development of Uniportal VATS (UniVATS) technique. This new approach has shown to be resourceful, proving its feasibility even for complex oncological procedures.

For all included patients, cardiac volumetric CT with a pharmacological ATP test was performed.

μ-Opioid receptors (MORs) are densely expressed in different brain regions known to mediate reward. One such region is the striatum where MORs are densely expressed, yet the role of these MOR populations in modulating reward is relatively unknown. We have begun to address this question by using a series of genetically engineered mice based on the Cre recombinase/loxP system to selectively delete MORs from specific neurons enriched in the striatum: dopamine 1 (D1) receptors, D2 receptors, adenosine 2a (A2a) receptors, and choline acetyltransferase (ChAT).

A 68-year-old patient with coronary heart disease (CHD) and atherosclerotic changes in the coronary arteries underwent cardiac volumetric CT in combination with a ATP pharmacological test. The study was performed on a Aquilion ONE 640 Vision Edition computer tomograph (Toshiba, Japan).
