The development of efficient and stable oxygen-reducing electrodes is challenging but vital for the production of efficient electrochemical cells. Composite electrodes composed of mixed ionic-electronic conducting LaSrCoFeO and ionic conducting doped CeO are considered promising components for solid oxide fuel cells. However, no consensus has been reached regarding the reasons of the good electrode performance, and inconsistent performance has been reported among various research groups.

Lifestyle changes may help prevent dementia. However, the perception and practice of dementia-preventing behaviors remain unclear; understanding both factors is required to help prevent dementia already at early stages. This study aimed to examine the awareness and uptake rates of dementia-preventive behaviors among community-dwelling women aged 40 to 64 years, and their associations with dementia-related anxiety.

Multilayer antireflection (AR) coatings require a material with a large and constant absorption coefficient over the whole visible range and thermal stability. Coatings for use in touch panel displays are also required to be electrically insulative. In this study, 60 mol % Ag-40 mol % (FeAl)-O ( = 0, 0.

Among patient with ACTH-dependent Cushing's syndrome, about 10-20% of those with ectopic ACTH syndromes (EAS) have occult or unknown tumors. Despite the intensive search for the culprit tumors by dynamic endocrine tests and imaging tests, it is often difficult to localize and confirm the source of occult ectopic ACTH secretion. We report a patient with EAS caused by a small bronchial carcinoid tumor, which was successfully localized by a selective pulmonary arterial sampling for the first time.

Purpose: To determine the first line of infertility treatment for managing patients with unilateral or bilateral ovarian endometriomas.

Methods: We evaluated pregnancy outcome in patients who had received ovarian surgery for unilateral (Group U, = 47) or bilateral endometriomas (Group B, = 38) and aspiration with or without alcohol fixation for unilateral (Group u, = 37) or bilateral endometriomas (Group b, = 22). Subsequently, 64 of these women, excluding 29 dropouts, underwent assisted reproductive technology.

A synthetic route is described for collagen-like polypeptides constructed from O-phospho-L-hydroxyproline [Hyp(PO(3)H(2))] residues. Using the synthetic polypeptides and a natural protein, gelatin, fine fibers and their network structures (ESNWs) were prepared via electrospinning. The composite ESNWs can induce the mineralization of calcium phosphate.
