Background: Taurine supplementation as a sulfur-containing amino acid may attenuate and/or alleviate diabetes-induced complications and endothelial dysfunction via its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. Our purpose was to investigate the effect of Taurine supplementation on endothelial dysfunction markers, oxidative stress, inflammation, and glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Methods: In the current clinical trial, 120 patients with T2DM were randomly allocated to take either Taurine (containing 1 g Taurine, n = 60) or placebo (n = 60) three times per day for an eight-week period.
Background And Objectives: NF-kB, SIRT1 and systemic inflammation factors including hs-CRP, IL-6 and TNF-α accelerate atherosclerosis pathogenesis. Our purpose was to evaluate the effect of daily supplementation of three-gram cinnamon on plasma levels of NF-kB, SIRT, hs-CRP, IL-6 and TNF-α among type 2 diabetes patients.
Subjects And Methods: A randomized, double blind, and controlled clinical trial was performed with 44 adult patients who were 25 to 70 years old with type 2 diabetes, randomized to two intervention (n = 22) and control (n = 22) groups differing by daily three grams cinnamon supplementation and placebo for 8 weeks, respectively.
Soluble forms of vascular adhesion molecules, ICAM-1 and VCAM-1, accelerate atherosclerosis pathogenesis. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of daily supplementation of 3 g cinnamon on the plasma levels of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 among patients with type 2 diabetes. This randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial was performed on 44 adult patients with type 2 diabetes aged 25-70 years.

Methods: This randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled clinical trial was performed in 44 patients with a recent diagnosis of MI who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention.
Unlabelled: Propose: Nutritional requirements are often escalated following major trauma. Underfeeding and adverse outcomes were seen in critically ill trauma patients. The aim of the study was to quantify actual amount of calories and protein intakes, and extent to which those clinical factors may affect adequate intake.

However, their pathogenesis is poorly understood. Recently, alteration of the intestinal microbiota (dysbiosis) has emerged as a new candidate that may be correlated with risk of HF development.
