- Out of 782 patients analyzed, 21.2% demonstrated HER2 overexpression, which was significantly associated with factors such as gender, histologic differentiation, Lauren classification, and T pathologic stage.
- However, HER2 expression did not correlate with overall 5-year survival rates among these patients, indicating it may not be a useful independent prognostic factor in gastric adenocarcinoma.
