The incidence of chronic wounds has been increasing over the past 20 years. However, the standardized diagnosis and treatment practice of chronic refractory wounds have not been established. In addition, the properties of the wound are characterized by morphology and thus correct description of the wound in medical history collection plays a vital role, which directly affects the definitive diagnosis.

The mitochondrial genome of (Ephemeroptera: Heptageniidae) from Longquan, Zhejiang province, China was a circular molecule of 15,499 bp in length, containing 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNAs, 23 transfer RNAs, and a control region. The A + T content of the overall base composition of H-strand is 65.7%.

We evaluated the association between SNPs and FH of UGI cancer among ESCC cases in a stage-1 case-only analysis of the National Cancer Institute (NCI, 541 cases with FH and 1399 without FH) and Henan GWAS (493 cases with FH and 869 without FH) data (discovery phase). The top SNPs (or their surrogates) from discovery were advanced to a stage-2 evaluation in additional Henan subjects (2801 cases with FH and 3136 without FH, replication phase).

Methods: : A cross-sectional study from April to June 2015 using questionnaires was given to 301 family members of hospitalized ESCC patients based in three affiliated hospitals of Zhengzhou University (i.e.
Objective: : This study aimed to determine if gastric cardia adenocarcinoma (GCA) risk was associated with the lys (A or *2) allele at the rs671 (glu504lys) polymorphism within the aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 () gene in a Chinese Han population. We also aimed to investigate genotypic distributions between subjects from high- and low-incidence areas for both GCA and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
Methods: : We designed a case-control study including 2,686 patients with GCA and 3,675 control subjects from high- and low-incidence areas for both GCA and ESCC in China.
Background: The role of p16INK4a as a surrogate marker for screening human papillomavirus (HPV) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains controversial.
Methods: A comprehensive search of EMBASE, PubMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure and China Biology Medicine was performed from inception to December 27, 2015. A random-effects model was applied to the pooled odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
Objective: Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of gastric cancer have reported differences in single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) associations for tumour subtypes, particularly when divided by location into the gastric cardia versus the non-cardia.
Design: Here we present results for a GWAS using 2350 East Asian gastric cancer cases divided as 1189 gastric cardia and 1027 gastric non-cardia cases and 2708 controls. We also included up to 3042 cardia cases, 4359 non-cardia cases and 7548 controls for replication from two Chinese studies and one Korean study.
To investigate the information of chronic wounds, especially in the aspect of microbiological profile and to explore the relationship between the wound culture result and chronic wounds infection, we retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 107 patients with chronic wounds from January 2011 to December 2013. The sociodemographic data, wound-related information, therapeutic type, and wound infection status were extracted. Microbial specimens were obtained and processed using standard hospital procedure for wound culture.

Objective: To compare the peri-implant tissue stability between immediate implant and delayed implant in maxillary anterior region after loading 2 years.
Methods: In the study, 38 patients with single anterior tooth loss in the Second Clinical Division of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology from October 2010 to December 2011 were enrolled, and 43 implants were inserted. The gingival contour was induced using implant-supported temporary crowns prior to restoration till permanent prostheses delivered.
Objectives: To explore the method of manufacturing an implant surgery template with a computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technique and evaluate its precision in clinical cases.
Methods: Patients referred to the 2nd Dental Center of Peking University who were partially edentulous, were enrolled and scanned with cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Diagnostic casts were laser scanned to record the configuration of the patients' dentition and mucosae.
Background: Dental implant technology has developed rapidly in recent years. However, the use of implant-supported fixed bridges with cantilevers has been controversial. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical results of the mandibular anterior implant-supported fixed bridges with a cantilever.

Methods: In the study, 90 patients (47 males, 43 females, and the mean age of 48.7 years ranging from 30-62 years) with posterior tooth missing underwent implant-supported porcelain fuse mental prostheses with CAD/CAM titanium-base.
Objective: To form a wound information management scheme with objectivity, standardization, and convenience by means of wound information management system.
Methods: A wound information management system was set up with the acquisition terminal, the defined wound description, the data bank, and related softwares. The efficacy of this system was evaluated in clinical practice.
The binding characteristics of organic ligands with Al(III) in soil dissolved organic matter (DOM) is essential to understand soil organic carbon (SOC) storage. In this study, two-dimensional (2D) FTIR correlation spectroscopy was developed as a novel tool to explore the binding of organic ligands with Al(III) in DOM present in soils as part of a long-term (21-year) fertilization experiment. The results showed that while it is a popular method for characterizing the binding of organic ligands and metals, fluorescence excitation-emission matrix-parallel factor analysis can only characterize the binding characteristics of fluorescent substances (i.

However, it remains unclear how the molarless condition directly affects the central nervous system, and the functional consequences on the brain cortex and hippocampus have not been described in detail. The aim of this study was to find the molecular mechanism related with learning and memory deficit after a bilateral molarless condition having been surgically induced in senescence-accelerated mice/prone 8 (SAMP8) mice, which may ultimately provide an experimental basis for clinical prevention of senile dementia.

Fluorescence excitation-emission matrices (EEMs) combined with regional integration analysis is presented to assess compost maturity. The results showed that the EEM contours of water-extract organic matter (WEOM) from immature composts exhibited four peaks at excitation/emission (Ex/Em) of 220/340nm, 280/340nm, 220/410nm, and 330/410nm, whereas EEM contour of WEOM from mature composts had only two peaks at Ex/Em of 230/420nm and 330/420nm.

In this context, a novel technique that combines fluorescence excitation-emission matrices (EEMs) with parallel factor (PARAFAC) analysis to assess compost maturity is presented. A total of 60 fluorescence EEMs of composts were successfully decomposed into a three-factor model using PARAFAC analysis.
