A case of idiopathic granulomatous hypophysitis.

Granulomatous hypophysitis is a rare pituitary condition that commonly presents with enlargement of the pituitary gland. A 31-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital with a severe headache and bitemporal hemianopsia. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed an 18 × 10-mm sellar mass with suprasellar extension and compression of the optic chiasm.

Aldosterone-producing adrenocortical carcinoma without hypertension.

Although adrenocortical tumors are common, adrenocortical carcinomas are rare. Moreover, aldosterone-producing adrenocortical carcinomas without hypertension are exceedingly rare, with only two previously reported cases.

Dermatomyositis associated with celiac disease: response to a gluten-free diet.

The association between dermatomyositis and celiac disease in children has been well documented. In the adult population, however, the association has not been clearly established. A rare case of concomitant dermatomyositis and celiac disease in a 40-year-old woman is presented.

Diplopia secondary to endoscopic sinus surgery.

Objective: Diplopia after endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) is rare but very serious. In this study, we investigated the characteristics, prognosis and treatment of diplopia occurring after ESS.

Material And Methods: A retrospective analysis was carried out to investigate three patients with diplopia after ESS referred to us from other hospitals.

Mucociliary differentiation according to time in human nasal epithelial cell culture.

Knowledge of the state of differentiation, cell phenotype, and expression of genes for mucus production at the time of study is important because these may vary at different times during the culture period. The primary purpose of this study was to determine whether the number of ciliated cells increases as a function of differentiation in NHNE cells. If we observed an increase in the number of ciliated cells, the composition ratio of ciliated and secretory cells according to the culture duration was determined.
