Objectives: Few studies have examined the impact of healthy sleep among general workers on individuals and society. Therefore, the status and risk factors of sleep disturbances among general workers were investigated. In addition, this study assessed the degree to which cold and heat symptoms are associated with sleep disturbances.

After EU ban on animal testing for cosmetics in 2013, there has been an increasing global interest in alternatives test methods. To development for alternatives test method, we need to get the toxic data about in vitro and in vivo of chemicals. However, database sometimes provide limited in vivo and in vitro data on chemicals.

Here, ASase from Deinococcus wulumuqiensis (DwAS) biosynthesized more naringenin α-glucoside (NαG) with sucrose and naringenin as donor and acceptor molecules, respectively, than other ASases from Deinococcus sp. The biotransformation rate of DwAS to NαG was 21.

Here, we report the multi-photo-bioactivity of the plasmonic-nano graphitic coordinated polycaprolactone-based aligned nanofibrous scaffolds-based bionanosystem for photothermal breast and colon cancer therapies and peripheral nerve photobiomodulation. The size-optimized colloidal reduced graphene oxide (nRGO, 180 nm) nanosheets, for enhanced photothermal impact, were surface-functionalized with gold nanospheres (AuNPs) to prepare the nRGO@AuNP monodispersed nano-composite and then doped 2.0 mg of nRGO@AuNP in biocompatible and biodegradable polymer polycaprolactone (PCL) to fabricate the nRGO@AuNP-PCL (2.

This study aimed to investigate the association between levothyroxine dosage and the risk for SPCs in thyroid cancer patients.
Methods: We conducted a nationwide population-based retrospective cohort study form Korean National Health Insurance database.
NAKAI (AG) is a popular traditional medicinal herb widely used to treat dyslipidemia owing to its antioxidant activity. Vascular disease is intimately linked to obesity-induced metabolic syndrome, and AG extract (AGE) shows beneficial effects on obesity-associated vascular dysfunction. However, the effectiveness of AGE against obesity and its underlying mechanisms have not yet been extensively investigated.

Methods: We extracted data from the NHIS database of South Korea, which covers the entire population of the nation. Risk of second primary malignancy in the thyroid cancer patients who received RAI therapy were compared with the thyroid cancer patients who received surgery only.
The primary objective of this study was to investigate the factors contributing to hyperglycemic adverse events (AEs) associated with the administration of remdesivir in hospitalized patients diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Furthermore, the study aimed to develop a risk score model employing various machine learning approaches. A total of 1262 patients were enrolled in this investigation.

This study aimed to establish a risk scoring system for adrenal insufficiency in patients receiving anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) or anti-programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) agents. Moreover, several machine learning methods were utilized to predict such complications.

Therefore, we examined the satisfaction and perceived effectiveness of herbal decoctions used in postpartum care in a city in the Republic of Korea (ROK).
Methods: We analyzed anonymized secondary data obtained from a retrospective cross-sectional survey of women who had taken herbal decoctions provided by the support service for women giving birth in a local city in ROK.
Activating brown adipose tissue (BAT) and stimulating white adipose tissue (WAT) browning is a prospective obesity treatment method. Dietary components derived from plants are the most effective approach to activate BAT and promote WAT browning in rodents. This study investigated the synergistic effects of (PG) and leaf (DKL) extract on adipocyte differentiation and browning, as well as the molecular mechanism underlying their beneficial effects.

Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic (NMR, CD, and MS) data analysis or Mosher's method, and were compared with those reported in the literature. These isolates were then evaluated for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities based on the inhibition of nitric oxide (NO) and interleukin (IL)-8 production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated cells (RAW264.

Objectives: Child and adolescent sleep is an important factor for brain and physical development. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the prevalence of sleep disorders and nonorganic sleep disorders in children and adolescents and determine the type of utilization of medical institutions. This study analyzed the prevalence and type of medical institutions in Korean children and adolescents with sleep disorders and nonorganic sleep disorders.

We evaluated the protective effects of LE and UA against hyperglycemia-induced advanced glycation end product (AGE) formations and hepatic pro-inflammation. Oral administration of UA and LE at a dose of 50 mg/kg/day for 15 days yielded no significant hypoglycemic effect in diabetic db/db mice.
