Background: In aquaculture, the secretions of cultured organisms contribute to the development of aquatic antibiotic resistance. However, the antibiotic-induced changes in fish feces remain poorly understood. This study aimed to assess the short-term dynamics of fecal microbiome and antibiotic resistance in juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) upon antibiotic treatment and withdrawal period.

We conducted a phase II trial of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) with docetaxel/cisplatin/5-fluorouracil (TPF) in this population.
Materials And Methods: Eligible patients had unresectable, locally advanced SNSCC, defined as T3/4 stage or potential compromise of critical organ function on surgery.
Background: This study evaluated the effectiveness of Joint External Evaluation (JEE) scores with regard to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and other infectious diseases performance in 96 countries. To propose a revised JEE tool, potential JEE indicators were also examined.
Methods: JEE data from 2016-2019 were linked with outcomes such as COVID-19 fatality rates and infections, as well as mortality rates for other infectious diseases.
Objectives: The objective is to evaluate the feasibility and safety of ArtiSential for performing minimally invasive surgeries for gynecological cancers.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a prospective observational study at 10 Tertiary Institutional Hospitals in Korea between November 2021 and April 2022. Eligible patients were 18 years or older and planned to undergo minimally invasive surgery for gynecologic cancer.

Autologous fat is widely used in soft tissue reconstruction; however, significant volume reduction owing to necrosis and degradation of the transplanted adipose tissue (AT) remains a major challenge. To address this issue, a novel live AT micro-fragment-based bio-ink (ATmf bio-ink) compatible with precision 3D printing, is developed. Live AT micro-fragments of ≈280 µm in size are prepared using a custom tissue micronizer and they are incorporated into a fibrinogen/gelatin mixture to create the ATmf bio-ink.

Studies on the clinical significance and treatment response to 5-fluorouracil, leucovorin, irinotecan, and oxaliplatin (FOLFIRINOX) regimen in terms of the presence of these mutations remain inconclusive.
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the survival outcome and response to FOLFIRINOX chemotherapy based on the presence of four driver mutation genes.

The Korean Gynecologic Oncology Group (KGOG) was established in 2002 and is the only organization in Korea conducting multi-center clinical trials for gynecologic cancers. Since its re-establishment as a non-profit organization in 2021, KGOG has grown significantly, now including 207 gynecologic oncology specialists from 76 hospitals. This growth is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all those involved in the organization.

This design was hypothesized to enhance embryonic development by emulating the physical environment through density modulation. Comparative analyses revealed no significant difference in nuclear maturation rates between the C9 well dish and the 5-well dish.

This study comprehensively analyzes the structural characteristics of WO during synthesis and investigates their correlation with photoelectrochemical activity. Structural analysis, incorporating annealing procedure and WO thickness, identifies a blend of hexagonal, monoclinic, and orthorhombic phases within WO array.

However, the low vascular density of subcutaneous tissue threatens the long-term survival of islets. To address this issue, prevascularized systems are introduced but various challenges remain, including system complexity and vascular-cell immunogenicity.

Consequently, research into the gut microbiota of companion animals has gained momentum, however, ethical and societal challenges associated with experiments on intelligent and pain-sensitive animals necessitate alternative research methodologies to reduce reliance on live animal testing. To address this need, the Fermenter for Intestinal Microbiota Model (FIMM) is being investigated as an tool designed to replicate gastrointestinal conditions of living animals, offering a means to study gut microbiota while minimizing animal experimentation.

Specifically, an unstable self-identity and difficulties distinguishing between self and others can impair their mentalizing abilities in interpersonal situations. However, it is unclear whether these traits are linked to differences in neural representation of self and others.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the influence of baseline sarcopenia and changes in body composition on survival during cervical cancer treatment.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with stage IB1-IVB cervical cancer who underwent primary concurrent chemoradiation therapy (CCRT) between 2002 and 2022 were included. The exclusion criteria were prior radical hysterectomy, lack of pretreatment computed tomography (CT) imaging, or significant comorbidities.
The use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) for the treatment of various malignancies is increasing. Immune-related adverse events can occur after ICI administration, with gastrointestinal adverse events constituting a significant proportion of these events. When ICI-related diarrhea/colitis is suspected, endoscopic evaluation is recommended to differentiate it from other etiologies and assess the severity of colitis.

Therefore, determining an optimal treatment strategy, including secondary cytoreductive surgery, in patients whose cancer progresses even with PARPi treatment, is needed.
Primary Objective: To determine whether secondary cytoreductive surgery is beneficial in patients who have progressed on PARPi maintenance treatment.
Importance: While nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) for breast cancer was only performed using the open method in the past, its frequency using endoscopic and robotic surgical instruments has been increasing rapidly. However, there are limited studies regarding postoperative complications and the benefits and drawbacks of minimal access NSM (M-NSM) compared with conventional NSM (C-NSM).
Objective: To examine the differences in postoperative complications between C-NSM and M-NSM.
Bone homeostasis is maintained by an intricate balance between osteoclasts and osteoblasts, which becomes disturbed in osteoporosis. Metallothioneins (MTs) are major contributors in cellular zinc regulation. However, the role of MTs in bone cell regulation has remained unexplored.

Background: The efficacy of adjuvant treatment (AT) in ampullary cancer (AmC) remains controversial. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the role of AT for AmC.
Data Sources: A comprehensive systematic search was performed in PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases.
Lithium batteries with solid-state electrolytes are an appealing alternative to state-of-the-art non-aqueous lithium-ion batteries with liquid electrolytes because of safety and energy aspects. However, engineering development at the cell level for lithium batteries with solid-state electrolytes is limited. Here, to advance this aspect and produce high-energy lithium cells, we introduce a cell design based on advanced parametrization of microstructural and architectural parameters of electrode and electrolyte components.
