To compare the efficacy and safety of pegylated recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (PEG-rhG-CSF) and rhG-CSF in the recovery of neutrophils after induction therapy in ALL patients, PEG-rhG-CSF was injected subcutaneously within 24 ~ 48 h after the end of intravenous infusion of daunorubicin/idarubicin during induction chemotherapy. In rhG-CSF group, patients were given rhG-CSF. The main outcome indexes were the incidence and duration of grade 4 chemotherapy-induced-neutropenia (CIN, ANC less than 0.

In this study, we analyzed the distinct responses of PCs across different phases of inflammation in a dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced mouse colitis model. Six-week-old male C57BL/6 mice were treated with 2.

Herein, a dual active site catalyst with high CO activation and dihydrogen dissociation capacity was fabricated by incorporating a Schiff base and Au nanoparticles (NPs) on silicon dioxide (SiO). The modification of the Schiff base not only provides an alkaline environment for CO absorption but also stabilizes Au NPs in a small and highly dispersed state, which regulates the electronic density of the metal for excellent H cleavage.

Methods: We performed bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis using genome-wide study (GWAS) data for 91 plasma proteins from 14,824 individuals of European descent across 11 study groups. Next, we utilized data from the FinnGen consortium to study AMD using the inverse- variance-weighted approach for Mendelian randomization.
POEMS (polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, monoclonal protein, skin changes) syndrome is a paraneoplastic syndrome associated with an underlying plasma cell neoplasm. According to the current diagnostic criteria for POEMS syndrome, the presence of characteristic polyneuropathy and clonal plasma cell disorder are required for diagnosis. We report a case of a Castleman disease variant of POEMS syndrome without monoclonal protein (M protein) expression, which presented with polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, skin lesions, and sclerotic bone lesions.

This study confirmed that EAB-established LDET to O via a microbial electrochemical snorkel raised the electric potential of sediment by increasing HCl-extracted Fe(III) and NO concentrations while reducing DOM concentrations, which further modified microbial diversity and composition, notably reduced the relative abundance of fermentative bacteria. As a result, DOM showed the highest SUVA value (3.

Purpose: To evaluate local tumor progression (LTP) and overall survival (OS) after RFA of right posterior subphrenic HCCs, and to identify the risk factors for LTP and OS after RFA.
Material And Methods: We screened patients who underwent US-guided RFA for a single HCC <3 cm in the right posterior subphrenic area.
Background: This study aimed to assess the significance of elevated carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9 in postoperative surveillance of extrahepatic bile duct cancer and to identify short-term recurrence predictors.
Methods: This retrospective study included patients with elevated CA 19-9 post-curative surgery. Patients were categorized into positive and negative CT groups based on the detection of recurrence at CA 19-9 elevation.
Background: Patients with borderline resectable (BR) or locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC) require complex management strategies. This study evaluated the prognostic significance of the perichemotherapy skeletal muscle index (SMI) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9) in patients with BRPC or LAPC treated with FOLFIRINOX.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 227 patients with BR or LAPC who received at least four cycles of chemotherapy between 2015 and 2020.
Diacetylmorphine abuse is a major social problem that jeopardizes the world, and abuse can cause serious neurological disorders. Apoptosis plays an important role in neurological diseases. A previous study by our group found that the brain tissue of diacetylmorphine-addicted rats showed severe vacuole-like degeneration and increased apoptosis, but the exact mechanism has not yet been reported.

Methods: Prospective enrollment included patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) or craniocervical artery disease (CCAD) from February 2022 to November 2022.
Purpose: This retrospective case control study report includes 4 eyes of 4 patients (aged from 37 to 44 years) with keratoconus suspect (KCS) who underwent laser epithelial keratomileusis linked laser asymmetric keratectomy (L-LAK) as corneal remodeling technique in order to avoid postoperative corneal ectasia.
Patients And Methods: Four eyes of 4 patients showed corneal topography findings with abnormal localized steep keratometric curvature greater than 47.0 D and peripheral corneal thickness asymmetry (Total corneal central thickness deviations in four directions on Orbscan map (SUM)≥80 µm).
This study aimed to enhance the efficiency of SBES in remediating polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH)-contaminated soils by modifying the anode with laccase. The experiment involved four SBES anodes: a carbon nanotube-modified anode (CNT), a free laccase-modified anode (Lac), a gelatin-encapsulated laccase-modified anode (Lac-Gel), and a CaCO sustained-release microsphere-loaded laccase-modified (CaCO-SMs@Laccase) anode (Lac-SMs). The CaCO-SMs@Laccase notably extended the active period of laccase, with laccase activity in the Lac-SMs measured at 1.

Although previous research has connected ion channel proteins to arrhythmia occurrences, the precise mechanism underlying DA-induced arrhythmias remains poorly understood. This study conducted a comprehensive analysis of the myocardial toxicity of DA by applying proteomic and histopathological approaches and investigated the underlying mechanisms using in vitro experiments.

Addressing levodopa-unresponsive freezing of gait (FOG) in Parkinson's disease (PD) presents a significant challenge. A randomized double-blinded trial evaluated the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in conjunction with transcutaneous magnetic spinal cord stimulation among 57 PD individuals experiencing levodopa-unresponsive FOG. Patients were randomized to receive dual-site stimulation involving bilateral primary motor cortex of the lower leg (M1-LL) and the lumbar spinal cord, single-site stimulation targeting bilateral M1-LL alone, or sham stimulation for 10 sessions.

The aim of this study was to compare the vision, comfortable near distance (CND) and visual comfort in patients who underwent implantation of EDOF, Multi, and monofocal (Mono) IOLs.
Methods: A total of 100 eyes were implanted with Tecnis ZXR00, ZMB00 or ZCB00 IOLs.
