Inspired by the recently reported novel two-dimensional material BCP, we performed one-dimensional shearing along the zigzag direction to obtain four BCP nanoribbons with various edge atom combinations. An asymmetric hydrogen passivation scheme was employed to modulate the electronic properties and successfully open the band gap, especially the 2H-1H passivation with dihydrogenation and monohydrogenation at the top and bottom edges, respectively, achieving bipolar magnetic semiconductors with edge P-atoms contributing to the main magnetism. Furthermore, three crucial spin-polarized transmission spectra yielded a significant spin-dependent Seebeck effect (SDSE), displaying superior thermoelectric conversion capabilities by generating pure spin currents.

Its high demand and wide application have directly or indirectly led to substantial consumption and discharge of antibiotics, affecting not only the environment but also endangering human health through bioaccumulation. Hence, rapid and precise detection of trace antibiotics in water, food, and biological samples is critically important.

In further analyses, the effects of volatile oils in six spices on ulcerative colitis were assayed in a zebrafish model induced by 3-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid. A total of 120 kinds of volatile organic compounds were detected and 80 among them were identified, which included 10 common components and 3 to 24 characteristic components belonging to different spices.

Ontology is essential for achieving health information and information technology application interoperability in the biomedical fields and beyond. Traditionally, ontology construction is carried out manually by human domain experts (HDE). Here, we explore an active learning approach to automatically identify candidate terms from publications, with manual verification later as a part of a deep learning model training and learning process.

Ensuring patient safety in healthcare involves training professionals and implementing clinical decision support systems (CDSS) and health IT solutions to reduce errors and adverse events. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into health IT has revolutionized clinical settings by enabling real-time insights and personalized recommendations. However, the use of health IT can lead to unintended consequences that are not adequately addressed during training and implementation.

Methods: In November 2023, online survey links were sent to 529 teachers from Shandong Province, China, asking them to report their perceptions of SMUNW, burnout, resilience, and turnover intention. A sample of 504 valid responses was obtained.

Objectives: Oxytropis DC is a perennial plant of Fabaceae family, which is widely distributed in the northern temperate zone. It is known as "locoweed" because of its toxic component swainsonine. However, it is widely used in Tibetan medicine and Mongolian medicine, mainly for the treatment of heat-clearing and detoxifying, pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, hemostasis, and other diseases.

In the case of prostate cancer (PCa), large volumes of research results and clinical data have been accumulated and needed to be standardized for sharing and translational researches. A formal representation of PCa-associated knowledge will be essential to the diverse data standardization, data sharing and the future knowledge graph extraction, deep phenotyping and explainable artificial intelligence developing.

Machine learning (ML) algorithms utilizing electronic health records and survey data offer promising tools for forecasting these conditions. However, potential bias and inaccuracies inherent in subjective survey responses can undermine the precision of such predictions.

Objective: The study utilized a cross-sectional dataset to identify demographic and health factors associated with patient utilization of mHealth applications for engaging with healthcare providers. The focus was on adults with chronic health conditions as the primary app user group. The goal was to reveal specific barriers and facilitators to app adoption among smartphone users, with the aim of highlighting opportunities for upgrades that promote patient empowerment as a prerequisite for shared decision-making (SDM).

Using survey data from 329 Chinese customs officers collected in December 2022, this study investigates whether ethical leadership influences customs officers' organizational citizenship behaviors indirectly through work engagement and trust in leader. Following the interactive approach, we further postulate that leader competency can accentuate these indirect relationships.

In this case, ratiometric fluorescent probes can eliminate the errors caused by environmental factors and provide more accurate detection results than single-emission intensity nanoprobes. Accordingly, based on the excellent biocompatibility and abundant surface functional groups of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and the properties of large Stokes shifts and narrow emission bands of rare earth ions (RE), RE-CQD fluorescent probes have attracted widespread attention.

Methods: The demographic characteristics, clinical manifestations, cognitive function score, Barthel Index (BI), blood test index, and follow-up results of arteriolosclerosis CSVD patients treated for the first time in our hospital from January 2014 to August 2022 were collected.
Objective: To explore the value of serum lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)combined with myeloperoxidase(MPO)for the diagnosis of large artery atherosclerosis(LAA) cerebral infarction.
Methods: Baseline data were collected from patients with first-ever acute cerebral infarction, serum Lp-PLA2 and MPO levels were measured. The etiology of cerebral infarction was classified according to the Chinese Ischemic Stroke Subtype Classification Standard.
Tumor mutational signatures are informative for cancer diagnosis and treatment. However, targeted sequencing, commonly used in clinical settings, lacks specialized analytical tools and a dedicated catalogue of mutational signatures. Here, we introduce SATS, a scalable mutational signature analyzer for targeted sequencing data.

Building an ontology facilitates creating interoperable CDSS rules, which can be achieved by identifying the keyphrases (KP) from the existing literature. Ontology construction is traditionally a manual effort by human domain experts, and the newly advanced natural language processing techniques, such as KP identification, can be a critical complementary automatic part of building ontology.
