Purpose: This study aimed to develop and validate FinTox, a concise tool for screening and managing financial toxicity in oncology settings.

Methods: Development involved qualitative interviews with healthcare providers and patients, and feedback from a 7-member expert panel resulting in a 5-item measure that evaluates financial strain, psychological responses, and care modifications. Bringing CAR T cell therapy trials to underserved populations.

There is a critical need for equitable access to cell therapies in cancer treatment, particularly within public safety-net healthcare systems that serve minority and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. We discuss how the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine is piloting a cell therapy program aimed at addressing cancer care disparities and has the potential to serve as a national model for enhancing health equity in cancer care.

Objective: The butterfly graft is an effective technique for improving the internal nasal valve, however, there is hesitancy among surgeons due to possible aesthetic changes. This study aims to determine if average observers rated the post-operative appearance of the butterfly graft negatively.

Methods: An online survey was distributed by social media to non-medical observers in which they rated either the pre-operative or post-operative appearance of 22 patients' noses (11 butterfly graft, 11 spreader graft).

Simple statistical models can be sufficient for testing hypotheses with population time-series data.

Time-series data offer wide-ranging opportunities to test hypotheses about the physical and biological factors that influence species abundances. Although sophisticated models have been developed and applied to analyze abundance time series, they require information about species detectability that is often unavailable. Background: Myeloid sarcoma (MS), or chloroma, is a rare extramedullary malignant tumor that consists of undifferentiated granulocytic cells, and it is most commonly associated with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Intracranial MS accounts for 0.4% of MS cases, and involvement of the skull base and visual dysfunction is rarely reported.
