Purpose: To compare outcomes between patients treated with a single cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive (CTA) patch for corneal thinning or perforation and those requiring multiple CTA applications.

Methods: We conducted a single-center, comparative cohort study of patients with corneal thinning or perforation treated with either a single or multiple CTA applications in Toronto, Canada, between 2006 and 2024. Purpose: To examine the safety and efficacy of combined treatment with topical ivermectin 1% and intense pulsed light (IPL) for dry eye disease (DED) secondary to demodex blepharitis.

Methods: A retrospective review of medical files of patients treated at a private clinic specializing in DED between November 2022 and February 2024 was performed. Sixty-one patients aged 18 years or older with DED because of demodex blepharitis, who received the IPL and ivermectin 1% combination therapy, were included.

Corneal allogeneic intrastromal ring segments (CAIRS) refer to the placement of allogeneic rings and segments in intrastromal channels within the cornea. Currently, a deepithelialized donor cornea is used as the allogeneic source for CAIRS and the cut ring is turned sideways and implanted so that the thickness can be varied by varying the distance between the concentric trephine blades.
