Superabsorbent wound dressings versus foams dressings for the management of moderate-to-highly exuding venous leg ulcers in French settings: An early stage model-based economic evaluation.

Venous leg ulcers (VLUs) are the most common hard-to-heal ulcers associated with the high humanistic and economic burden. Especially clinically challenging are moderate-to-highly exuding venous leg ulcers, and current management guidelines recommend several different wound dressings for this indication. The study aimed to determine the cost-effectiveness of managing moderate-to-highly exuding venous leg ulcers with superabsorbent wound dressings versus foams dressings in French settings from Haute Autorité de Santé perspective.
