In this study, the catalytic materials of MnO/γ-AlO, CeO/γ-AlO, and MnCeO/γ-AlO for catalytic ozonation were synthesized. The catalysts were used in heterogeneous catalytic ozonation of the wastewater containing ntrofurazone (NFZ). The effects of the catalytic ozonation operational factors were systematically evaluated in terms of ozone dosing, catalyst dosing, initial NFZ concentration, and pH.

In this study, La and Ce doped PbO electrodes were prepared and the characteristic of the electrodes were discussed with the help of structure analysis. The catalytic effects of the doped electrodes were explored through the degradation of para-aminophenol wastewater. The results showed that the para-aminophenol removal was 96.

Based on previous research, the sampling and analysis methods for phthalate esters (PAEs) were improved by increasing the sampling flow of indoor air from 1 to 4L/min, shortening the sampling duration from 8 to 2hr. Meanwhile, through the optimization of chromatographic conditions, the concentrations of 9 additional PAE pollutants in indoor air were measured. The optimized chromatographic conditions required a similar amount of time for analysis as before, but gave high responsivity, the capability of simultaneously distinguishing 15 kinds of PAEs, and a high level of discrimination between individual sample peaks, as well as stable peak generation.

Unlabelled: Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were widely used in industrial production due to the unique physical and chemical properties. As a kind of persistent organic pollutants, the PCBs would lead to environment pollution and cause serious problems for human health. Thus, they have been banned since the 1980s due to the environment pollution in the past years.

The concentrations of six carbonyl compounds in indoor air were measured for selected public places in Hangzhou, including shopping centers, supermarkets, furniture store, inter-city bus stations, railway stations and cinemas. In indoor air of the public places, the mean concentration was 146.5 microg/m(3) for total carbonyls, in which formaldehyde was found to be the most abundant carbonyls with an average value of 90.
