Disruptions in hemostasis remain after surgery, which fact attests to the need for working out efficient pathogenetically validated methods of correction thereof for the combined treatment of the pathology in question to be raised to a much higher level.

The authors suggest a new method for the treatment of peritonitis which is based on inclusion of convalescents' plasma after peritonitis in the therapeutic complex. This plasma contains specific antibodies against the cultured microflora in high titers and is a polyvalent hyperimmune medium which makes it possible to cause an effect on the level of humoral immunity.

Use of the method suggested contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of the treatment performed, prevents unsubstantiated performance of appendectomy, shortens time patients stay in a hospital. The long-term results of treatment with the use of intratissue electrophoresis are better than those in use of the existing methods of dynamic observation (parenteral administration of spasmolytic and desensitizing agents).

The formula of lysosomal-cation index has been suggested, peculiar features of cytomorphology in given pathology described. The LCT was established to be an informative index of form and severity of the vermiform process inflammation.

The article reports on the efficacy of programmed laparotomy conducted by the method suggested by the authors in 15 patients with purulent peritonitis for repeated cleansing of the abdominal cavity.

The area of the lumbar triangles is subjected to certain fluctuations and only in some cases they are absent. The kidneys, peritoneal part of the ureters, duodenum, pancreas, aorta and inferior vena cava in the projection of the lumbar triangles are not situated.
