A 27-year-old woman with type 2 diabetes mellitus had mild diabetic retinopathy (DR) during the early gestation period. Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) showed microaneurysms and small capillary nonperfusion with little change until before delivery. The patient later developed pregnancy-induced hypertension, which continued after delivery, and the DR worsened markedly.
