Results of processing, summarizing and analysis of data of special sociological survey are represented. Questionnaire in combination with sampling interview of workers of management units of okrug medical institutions, chief medical officers and heads of departments in pediatric clinics of City of Moscow was applied. Using megapolis pattern, the need in transformation of functioning of primary pediatric care institutions is validated.

The paper considers the topical aspects of the health status and sociomedical needs of children and adolescents; it shows it necessary to transform the activity of primary pediatric service facilities at the stage of reforming the country's public health system. The results of one of the largest sociological studies conducted among district pediatricians as to the organization of therapeutical-and-prophylactic and sociomedical and to children are discussed.

The objects of this study were medical and university students and physicians specialized in obstetrics and gynecology engaged in family planning problems. Contraception behavior of young people was analyzed and the structure of contraception in Russia compared with that in countries with well-developed economy.

The study data on financial position, living conditions and lifestyle of these families are provided. View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe study results are provided of the "Marriage and Family" consulting centres activities: some organizational issues (structure, staff, training of specialists, etc), contingents of visitors, and also some qualitative indices of medical care provided to population. It has been found that "Marriage and Family" consulting centres being the structural subdivisions of ambulatory and outpatient institutions do not have curative and diagnostic facilities and therefore cannot provide a comprehensive examination and treatment of patients seeking care in these institutions. The study provided a foundation for suggesting the ways of improving medico-psychological care to the family.

The authors suggest a method of quantitative determination of the goandotropin-inhibiting factor in the urine; the principle of calculation of the activity of the standard preparation of the gonadotropin-inhibiting factor is presented. Investigation of the activity of the inhibitor in the individual portions of the urine of 6-8-year-old children demonstrated that the method of obtaining, testing and calculating the activity of the gonadotropin-inhibiting factor reflected quite adequately the biological activity of the extracts of child urine preventing the action of crude gonadotropins.
