Metacarpal fractures are among the most common injuries seen in the emergency department, accounting for 17.2% of all adult fractures and more than 30% of all hand injuries. The majority of these cases are stable, and conservative treatment involving closed reduction and immobilization typically yields good clinical and functional outcomes.

In general, two characteristic radiological signs are used to diagnose the lesion, namely, (1) the absence of corticomedullar continuity and (2) BPOP developed from the parosteal surface of bones with an intact underlying cortex. Here, we present an atypical case of Nora's lesion of the proximal phalanx of the index finger, in which BPOP was diagnosed only histologically, with preoperative imaging examinations (X-ray and MRI) suggesting another lesion (enchondroma).

Pubic rami fractures in the geriatric population are usually osteoporotic fractures resulting from low energy trauma and are characterized as stable injuries. Established treatment of these injuries is conservative, including rest, analgesic medication, and progressive active mobilization. These injuries are life-threatened when pubic rami fractures are accompanied by acute bleeding, either from an injury to a vessel (corona mortis) or from medication (anticoagulant or antiplatelet) for comorbidities, then.

Materials And Methods: Eight patients were operated for DIACFs and they were evaluated for the outcome and complications in a mean follow up of 9 months (range: 6 - 12 months). At the last follow up the AOFAS score, the Boehlers' angle and the presence of any complication were noted.
Introduction: Despite the significant progress that has been made during the last decade, Greece still faces the effects of road traffic accidents (RTAs) to a great extent every year. This study represents an epidemiological approach to road traffic injuries (RTIs) presenting to a secondary hospital in a geographical area with very low-quality road network; it aims to indicate possible preventive measures and actions.
Methods: The present study was conducted in Rethymnon General Hospital between January 2018 and February 2020.
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the utility of the Pulsatility Index (PI) of the right hepatic artery, measured by color Doppler sonography, in the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis.
Methods: Seventy-five subjects were included in this study and divided into three groups, each consisting of 25 subjects: the cholecystitis group, the asymptomatic cholelithiasis group, and normal controls. Patients with acute cholecystitis fulfilled all the diagnostic criteria as stated in the latest Tokyo Guidelines.
Objective: The aim of this article is to review the interface between psychiatry and ophthalmology at several levels, such as the influence of psychopharmacology on eye disorders, the occurrence of psychiatric symptoms in eye diseases, and the neuroophthalmological examination methods supporting the validity of psychiatric diagnoses.
Materials And Methods: We searched the PubMed computer database for the key words "Psychiatry" and "Ophthalmology" on the 28th of August, 2018 to obtain relevant articles which were consequently summarized.
Results: The results showed that most patients with ocular disease simultaneously have one or more psychiatric symptoms.
