: Secretory carcinoma of the breast is an uncommon histological subtype of breast cancer. There is little research on this entity and only a few larger studies, which lack consensus. We aim to report a particular apocrine differentiation in this subtype and ponder upon the clinical outcome of this case.

The first objective of the work was to determine the thermodynamic quantities of Bi and Sn using the electromotive force measurement method in an electrolytic cell (Gibbs' enthalpies of the mixture, integral molar entropies, and the integral molar excess entropies were determined) at temperatures of 600 K and 903 K. The second objective addressed is the comprehensive characterization of three alloy compositions that were selected and elaborated, namely Bi25Sn75, Bi50Sn50, and Bi75Sn25, and morphological and structural investigations were carried out on them.

The materials used in the manufacturing of the brake disc must adapt and correlate with the challenges of current society. There is a tremendous interest in the development of a material that has high strength, good heat transfer, corrosion resistance and low density, in order to withstand high-breaking forces, high heat and various adverse environment.

The challenging environment requires continuous performance improvements, so this work is focused on developing new materials with superior properties, using the electrochemical deposition technique, which are convenient for marine engineering. High-entropy alloys have been attracting tremendous interest in many applications, due to their simple crystal structures and advantageous physical-chemical properties, such as high strength, anti-corrosion, erosion, and electro-magnetic capabilities.

If AMD and age-related hearing impairment are correlated, the cause of both may be a result of a common vulnerability. The aim of this study was to assess the interrelation between age-related macular degeneration and age-related hearing loss.

Bacterial contamination of food and water resources is an element that pushes scientists to develop new means for the rapid and efficient detection and identification of these pathogens. Conventional detection tools are often bulky, laborious, expensive to buy, and, above all, require an analysis time of a few hours to several days.

Because it may be asymptomatic until a relatively late stage, diagnosis is frequently delayed. A general understanding of the disease pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment may assist primary care physicians in referring high-risk patients for comprehensive ophthalmological examination and for a more active involvement in their care.

The impact of diabetes at 10 weeks after intraperitoneal streptozotocin (STZ) injection was evaluated through electrophysiological methods like visual evoked potentials (VEP) and electroretinogram (ERG). VEP and ERG were recorded simultaneously under different sevoflurane anesthetic depths.

Previous studies have shown that preconditioning with sevoflurane anesthesia offers a certain degree of protection to retinal cells against light damage. The objective of this study was to explore the effect of sevoflurane anesthetic preconditioning on a model of light-induced retinal degeneration in diabetic rats.
