Oculocardiac reflex (OCR) has been described to occur with mechanical manipulation of the eye, eyelids or orbit. There are no reports in the literature of OCR during intravitreal injection (IVI). This may be due to the fact that heart rate is not monitored during the procedure.

Observations: A 50-year-old man was treated with 3 monthly intravitreal bevacizumab injections, but despite treatment, visual acuity continued to worsen from 20/40 to 20/100, and bleeding was not receding. A minimal invasive pars plana vitrectomy was performed for surgical removal of the neovascular complex without any complicating incident.

Cyclic esotropia is an extremely uncommon form of strabismus. Classically, it follows a 48-hour cycle with 24 hours of orthotropia and 24 hours of manifest esotropia. We are reporting the first case of cyclic esotropia with a 24-hour cycle.

Methods: The medical records of 499 neonates from a single tertiary referral center who met the 2013 screening guidelines for ROP were retrospectively reviewed. Weekly weights were analyzed using standard logistic regression to determine the age at which the weekly net weight gain best predicted the development of ROP, which was designated as the postnatal weight gain criterion.

Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a rare cause of ocular infections and has not yet been reported as a cause of an ocular abscess. We describe the case of a 47-year-old woman with a history of alcoholic cirrhosis who presented with painful left lower eyelid swelling that did not improve with oral antibiotics.

A retrospective, observational, and comparative study was conducted and UWFI (200°) were obtained from two patients with gyrate atrophy at baseline and follow-up. Measurements of atrophy were obtained for three types of lesions: Solitary atrophic lesions (SAL), De novo solitary lesions (DNSL), and peripapillary atrophy (PPA).

Methods: This is a descriptive case series of SD-OCT images with enhanced HD line at Denver Health Medical Center, University of Colorado School of Medicine, in 2014. The medical records with ocular images for these patients were analyzed.
Purpose: To purpose if this study was to determine whether the horizontal rectus muscle tendons (HRMTs) can be observed using anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) and to determine the repeatability of its measurements. Also, this study aimed to observe and measure the different external ocular structures at the level of the horizontal rectus muscle (HRM) insertion.
Methods: This was a retrospective, observational, descriptive and comparative study.
Multiple posterior segment complications can occur after LASIK. Posterior vitreous detachment, macular holes, retinal hemorrhages, retinal detachment, and several other complications have been described. A case of posterior vitreous detachment with epiretinal membrane in a young adult after LASIK is reported.

Periorbital edema, chemosis, myopia, high intraocular pressures, and shallow anterior chambers were present at the initial examination.
