[Rectal metastasis of a resected urothelial bladder cancer].

We present the case of a female patient with a history of high-grade urothelial carcinoma of the bladder with secondary lymph node and bone involvement, who presented with hematochezia, tenesmus and rectal pain one year after her oncological surgery. The abdomen and pelvis magnetic resonance image showed a 5 cm solid rectal lesion that stenosed the lumen and crossed the peritoneum, 6 cm away from the anal margin. The histology of this lesion reported an urothelial metastasis at the level of the lower rectum according to the patient's history.

Urinary incontinence (UI) is one of the main complications of radical prostatectomy. Multiple studies have attempted to find factors that may predict early recovery of urinary continence in surgically treated patients. The aim of this study is to evaluate the ability of the length of the membranous urethra (LUM) and the intraprostatic urethra (IUL) measured in preoperative by multiparametric prostate resonance imaging (MRI), to predict post-radical prostatectomy urinary continence.

A broad spectrum of pathology affects the rectum, anus, and perineum and understanding of its relevant anatomy is important in accurate reporting, particularly in rectal cancer. In this pictorial essay, correlative imaging, endoscopic, pathologic, and operative images are presented to illustrate normal anorectal anatomy and neoplastic conditions that affect the anus and rectum. A particular case-based focus is given to rectal adenocarcinoma with pelvic MR and surgical histopathology.

A broad spectrum of pathology affects the rectum, anus, and perineum, and multiple imaging modalities are complementary to physical examination for assessment and treatment planning. In this pictorial essay, correlative imaging, endoscopic, pathologic, and operative images are presented for a range of rectal, perirectal, and perineal disease processes, including infectious/inflammatory, traumatic, congenital/developmental, vascular, and miscellaneous conditions. Key anatomic and surgical concepts are discussed, including radiological information pertinent for surgical planning, and current operative approaches of these anatomic spaces to assist radiologists in comprehensive reporting for gastroenterologists and surgeons.

[Lymphatic malformations: percutaneus treatment with bleomycin].

Lymphatic malformations are developmental abnormalities of the lymphatic system, which tend to complicate during their evolution. In the last decade, therapy with sclerosing agents has gained popularity over surgery due to its effectiveness, fewer complications, and excellent cosmetic results. We present a series of 24 patients treated with percutaneous bleomycin injection.

Blunt traumatic injuries of the lung parenchyma, pleura, thoracic wall, and intrathoracic airways: multidetector computer tomography imaging findings.

This pictorial review discusses multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) cases of non-vascular traumatic chest injuries, with a brief clinical and epidemiological background of each of the pathology. The purpose of this review is to familiarize the reader with common and rare imaging patterns of chest trauma and substantiate the advantages of MDCT as a screening and comprehensive technique for the evaluation of these patients. Images from a level 1 trauma center were reviewed to illustrate these pathologies.
