Current state of telemedicine in the field of Hepatology in Spain: challenges, threats and next steps to follow for an intelligent digital transformation.

Medicine and technology are constantly evolving. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the development of digitalization in the health sector and specifically of telemedicine. Through a structured bibliographic review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) methodology, in this study, the concepts related to telemedicine, its application and the legal regulatory context are defined.
