Traditional learning techniques have evolved slowly and have yet to adapt the course content delivery to today's students' approaches to acquiring new knowledge. However, micro-learning has become popular in e-Learning environments as a course design technique due to short attention spans, demand for small chunks of information, and time constraints. Hence, it has been selected for creating reading mobile applications provided to the nature of its learning approach.

As part of agile methodologies seen in the past few years, IT organizations have continuously adopted new practices in their software delivery life-cycle to improve both efficiency and effectiveness of development teams. Two of these practices are continuous integration and continuous deployment, which are part of the DevOps cycle which has helped organizations build software effectively and efficiently. These practices must be considered for new technologies such as smart contracts, where security concerns and bugs might cost more once deployed than traditional software.

Novel Data Mining Methodology for Healthcare Applied to a New Model to Diagnose Metabolic Syndrome without a Blood Test.

Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) is a cluster of risk factors that increase the likelihood of heart disease and diabetes mellitus. It is crucial to get diagnosed with time to take preventive measures, especially for patients in locations without proper access to laboratories and medical consultations. This work presented a new methodology to diagnose diseases using data mining that documents all the phases thoroughly for further improvement of the resulting models.

Applications Based on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) in the Field of Home Healthcare.

This article makes a literature review of applications developed in the health industry which are focused on patient care from home and implement a service-oriented (SOA) design in architecture. Throughout this work, the applicability of the concept of Internet of Things (IoT) in the field of telemedicine and health care in general is evaluated. It also performs an introduction to the concept of SOA and its main features, making a small emphasis on safety aspects.

Development of a nasogastric tube insertion simulator: a collaborative interdisciplinary effort.

The nursing faculty shortage has created the need for more innovative and effective ways to better stimulate nursing students. Simulation technology is one way to increase the effectiveness of teaching faculty. In this article, a collaborative project between the College of Nursing and College of Engineering at the University of South Florida to develop and evaluate a PC-based software simulator based on videogame technologies for nursing skill acquisition is discussed.
